So I was sitting on the porch at my workshop today, just digging the sunshine and warmth, when I kept getting these whiffs of air with a strange but familiar scent on them. Then it hit me....the smell of melting snow. And the first thought through my head was "The Ritual is failing" I'm smelling the dying ice......It just struck me funny and I thought I would share, and ask how spring was treating everybody.....everyone except those heathens from below the equator

Today it started with grey skies. Then it rained, with a little bit of hail for most of the afternoon. Then the sun came out with blue skies but it was still cold.
SPRING IS SEXUALLY CONFUSED.
It's the tinkywinky of seasons.

It was 15 C on Friday. Beautiful.
Then we got 30cm of snow on Saturday. Not so beautiful.
Snowed again today.
But spring is coming. I hope.
The truest way to know if spring has arrived is when you can smell the cow manure thawing.

It snowed for 5 hours yesterday. Today it was nipple twistingly cold today.
Just make sure you're not smelling spices as you sit there on the porch, old bubba, lest gryllen suddenly burst out of the woods!

There's a smell here on a really hot dry summers day. I think it's partly from eukalyptus trees. You get it once or twice a year around january. It smells of home.

It's currently -6 and we've had about 15 centimeters of snow today. The day before that we had a lovely shower of ice pellets. All of the snow and ice on the power lines are causing power outages! That's ok though because it's supposed to warm up in the next couple of days, at which point everyone is going to start sand bagging as record flooding levels are predicted! Gotta love Manitoba!

It has been proven beyond all reasonable doubt that the most powerful force on Wu is a bunch of messed-up Malazans with Moranth munitions.

After balmy weather, we turned cold again. Not Canada cold, but cold.

supposed to rain today
no sun, but we're @ +6
and it doesn't look like we'll be getting any more below zero weather.
