Senior Assessor (indeed a man) and Veed were both squished by falling buildings before Iccy's machine did its thing, which is why they aren't there. I'm glad to see Taxilian back, even if his role will be a little ... odd.

Also, does Iccy's appearance here, probably in the Wastelands, put paid to the theory that it was his machine the Dying God used to get to Bastion in TtH?

Yep. looks like it. It was never a convincing theory anyway; a flying machine with a pilot was quite different from a series of linked, stationary mechanisms positioned in precise locations throughout a city.
So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

Ah yes you are correct, just reread RG and it is probably because the monk was speaking to Twilight and then some she word at some point made me think the monk was a female instead of refering it back to Twilight.

The machines were broken, so rather than having his memories sorted, Iccy ended up brainsucking out six other people who got nailed by the machines.

I suppose there could be a bunch of other, silent peoples in his head, but it seems these are the active ones.

And yeah, Veed and the Assessor got crushed, not brainwiped.

- Abyss, and btw... ICCY'S BACK!!!!!!!!! And even MORE CRAZY!!!!!!

I'm curious as to why Apt thinks Icarium is now Barbie, judging by that subtitle.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

I like the idea of Icarium worshiping himself as the one true god... It seem right somehow :)
The leader, his audience still,
considered their scholarly will.
He lowered his head
and with anguish he said,
"But how will we teach them to kill?"

I cannot for the life of me remember more than Taxilian's name. Can someone refresh my memory?

The interpreter that Samar talks to when she and Karsa are picked up by the Edur fleet.
