That might have something to do with, I don't know, you showing some suspicion of Tennes whereas Gamelon's case was an obvious joke? .. but perhaps I'm just being slow.

anyways, we're letting Anomandaris off the hook. I don't like it..

In fact, I find him more suspicious than Tennes at this point.

Anomandaris

The funny thing is that now you are looking more and more scummy to me. Immediately voting Tennes and then jumping at my throat. Then apparently ignoring your first vote when i explain why that Tennes post isn't vote worthy. And no, I won't vote for you for that either.

@ Telas - I would have been the first, that was the point Korlat was making, why didn't I vote. I responded, its not vote worthy, just needed to be pointed out.

@ Korlat - the bloodthisty thing was not because you voted, but instead you voted Tennes, then questoned(and continue to question) why I didn't vote for him. So now, in effect, your last post calls me scummy, thats why I say blood thirsty. IMO its easier to point fingers when you yourself are scum. Make sense?

One more point, why hhaven't you asked why I din't vote for Gamelon? I believe that "case" to be the stronger of the two? hmm.

well so far all we've seen is you being real cagey with your vote. If you think someone may be scum or suspicious, put a vote. that's how you can hope to get their attention and get an explanation.

I mean ffs, this isn't the volcano game where you get one vote per day. you don't have to freak out about putting your vote on someone, since you can always take it back.

I wasn't trying to invalidate you, it just isn't a naturally inno thing to do, to vote someone and then question the person whos "case" you are following.

But its not a fucking case. Its one post. And its not enough to convince me that either Game or Tennes is scum, so why vote? Wow, starting to get a little angry at you 2 ganging up on me for not voting. Back in a minute, need nicotine and bacon.

But it's not natural to try to use unpopular labels like that. They can be damn effective. I've used them both as a killer and as a symp in the past to get people's arguments out of the way. I've never ever done so as an innocent. It just reeks of scum to me, more so than anything I've seen so far and that includes Tennes.

okay, so who do you think is scum then?
and why not simply say "I think Tennes and Game are acting weird, but i'm not convinced either's scum"?

lol, if you're inno, you shouldn't have too many reservations about sharing your thoughts if they can help to locate scum.

aww, poor you.

So, you did not chose not to vote because you were afraid of a lynch train being started. You chose not to vote because you didn't find the posts scummy. But surely, and this is especially true for day 1, votes are used not only when one is sure of someone being scum?

Edit - this fell out somewhere: and why didn't you just stay with the later explanation if that was your motive?

I disagree, if you make hundreds of different votes you get caught out for jumping around..

sigh
there's a fine line between using your vote as a pressure tool and being a random votehopper.

one does not necessariyl imply the other.

I still don't see why he needs to place a vote on someone when its not a very strong case. Whats the point when he doesn't have enough evidence to follow through with it.. and I don't see what business it is of yours.

No offence, but everything in this thread is business of everyone. Motives especially.

I see pushing for a vote on someone as acting symp like considering its not their master..

dude, see my reply to him above--if he says he doesn' think they're scum, fine. but if that's the case, he should just say it. if he says "I think X is acting suspiciously" it's automatic for innos to assume he means "I think X may be scum". and if he then doesn't vote, we see an inconsistency and it looks weird

Alright, had a smoke and calmed down. Telas I was reading the thread and picking out posts that I thought might be scum-like. I found 2 that stuck out. I posted those 2. Neither screamed I am a killer! so I din't vote, in effect saying, these 2 posts are strange, lets keep an eye on them. Since then I have been attacked by you and Korlat(well, Korlat, you at least have a reasonable tone) and can't figure for the life of me what the big deal is, I mean really, so I didn't vote, so what, had I done like Korlat, I would have been jumped for vote hopping. Had I added a vote under pressure of Korlat to vote, I would have been attacked for middle of the roading, and should I vote Korlat, it will be disregaurded as OMGUS. No thanks, I'll hold my vote until I see something that is really scummy, and then I'll work a case and try and get the fucker lynched.

@Korlat's poor you comment -stop being a dick, its not becoming of a gentleman.

Then you're reading it wrong. You see me pushing for the reason behind not voting, and then you see pushing at things about the answer I don't like. Anomandaris can get into as much of a huff as he wants, it's still an effective tactic pulling people out.

lol
my comment wasn't directed at you refusing to vote for a particular individual--it was more of a general thing, since you used a general excuse of "I don't want to put first/second vote b/c I don't want to start a train"

I really couldn't care less about Tennes. for today (so far), my suspect list is

Serc--for refusing to contribute
Gamelon--for being self-righteous and a tad pushy, but he's a distant second.

I hardly see my first question to you as an attack. If that's an attack to you then you really should grow a thicker skin. I pushed you for your answer to my post, and I think it's quite obvious by now what part of it I didn't like.

@Ano-I agree that Tennes' behavior may have been a bit suspicious, but I do think it may have been a joke still since it would be a mafia first. That said, there may still be something there. Not enough to merit a vote yet, but worth watching.

@Telas- what is the refusing to contribute part?
