on a side note though, I really can't see where's the instant hostility from (WHY does it always turn out I come to post here to trash the system? I'm not even an anarchist at heart!) not even one, but two mods? it's not like 90% of other threads in the Phoenix Inn in the past 5 years produced anything of value. I can see how images would end up deleted every once in a while, but locking the thread altogether seems a rather harsh and hot-headed decision from my point of view.
regardless. devoid of opportunity to post in that other thread, I wanted to say...
/b/ captures something about the internet. it's quite possibly the only place in the whole world where people can do whatever the hell they want. it's the raw, primordial core of the free web brought to life as a monster, bit like what dr. Frankenstein did ;-). people go in, they can be monsters, they can rage, they can post ( A L M O S T ) anything. they are forwarned about what goes on inside, and any offense they might take, well, they made the decision of coming in, right? nobody invited them, nobody threw the stuff in their face, hell, most btards probably would tell them to gtfo if asked.
it doesn't try to be anything ideal. it's the scum pit of the world. it has no purpose. people fight, people rage, whatever, nobody really cares in the end. it solves nothing, but who the hell wants to solve anything through /b/ in the first place? hah.
that would pretty much be it. I'd slice this into the other thread instead of starting a new one but alas that is outside my competences :-)

Yeah what I meant was the pictures would be perhaps kept to a minimum, and discussion about the nature of the chan encouraged.

Ha! I didn't even notice it got closed yesterday.

Guess it was fitting it was myself that killed it the same day it was made.

Still, guessing it was the Parkinson picture, I could have sworn it was posted not a month ago in the pictures thread with no complaints by someone else.

I think what goth is saying, isn't it politically uncorrect that sick people can't be made the butt of jokes anymore, only healthy people?
In this world of equality, if we can't make jokes at ill peoples expense, then in reverse they shouldn't be allowed to make jokes at our expense.
Its a pretty thin arguement :p

But one thing I will say, PC will eventually kill comedy for good. All comedy is based on somebody's pain.
