Exactly, I don't see why he would claim colonist if he was a marine either. Kind of hard to know what being a colonist means though, and he seemed confused about that himself.

but saying that he's a colonist pretty much makes him a target for everyone (cept the Pred, I would think)

we'd never stopp being suspicious that he might have a chest burster. and if he went Xenoc, we'd have no way of knowing.

A quiet hush had come over the group. The first day had been long and hard fingers were pointed and accusations made. Why was the ship sabotaged? What was down here? Were where the people who had made the distress call? WTF was so fucking wrong with the fucking ship that it was going to take 5 Fucking days to fix it?

The group had gathered around one of the other survivor’s. Accusations had been made and excuses had been given. But they were bull shit. Now was the time for serious questioning.

Shadow had been tied to one of the Colony’s Heating Generators. The bastard will talk or burn. The handle of the Generator was slowly moved up. Shadow screams out “I am an innocent! I wasn’t even in the fucking engine room. I'm from the Fucking Colony you twats!” His face bursting with rage. Galayn Lord steps forward with his face inches from Shadow Screams “Fuck you!!!!! You miserable lying piece of shit!!!” Before anyone can do anything, Galain grabs the switch and turns it all the way up. Shadow's Body Shudders and the group covers their ears as Shadow screams out in unrelenting agony, the sound suddenly ends in gargles and gasps. When the group looks back on Shadow all the see is his body melted on to the generator.


Shadow is dead. was a marine the piece of tattered cloth with his name seems to say Hicks...

OK, i'm back.

Sorry about the explosion. I just got frustrated. I was reading and catching up and I could see the blood lust growing in the Mob's eyes. I guess I was reading between the lines. It seemed to me Shadow was hiding something. But I got the confused noob, important role vibe. I just wish there would have been a little more discussion.

Hell, he could come back Alien. I don't know for sure. But my gut says that he was a MArine.
