Just on your first kill - you needed the food to grow from a chestburster to a full fledged alien or to keep yuor energy level up... you'd wither and die otherwise. Now, it no longer matters what you kill.

Why he picked you, I don't have a clue. Granted, I skim the thread, too busy with PMs, but I didn't think you stood out.

As for the infecting... the incubation period is 1 day+night - so to control the game, you should have waited as long as possible. However, I'll admit there was no way you could've known that, seeing how we kept it secret (deliberately, as in 1.0, the aliens never came into play and we figured we needed a wave of them to keep stuff interesting) and you didn't play in 1.0... where people found out the hard way

So, there's little you could do and the way you played was the logical one.

Seems you have a bad track record in games I (co-) mod... outed in the Rome game, now dying day 2.

Also, good job with the modding and set-up. Unlike others I don't think the first one was so bad, sure Morgy won, but team inno had a good game. So I consider it a draw. This one is pretty much the same to me so far. Although the pred killed several of the aliens for us, looks like we're on our own for a while. But back to the topic, this game keeps me paranoid.

Ok, I'm in. Before I read spoilers a quick explanation for why I acted like a complete nub and got myself lynched, since everyone will ask.

First of all, I've only seen the first aliens movie. In addition, I really got the impression that Serc and I were the only marines. Third, the OP talked about innocents and marines like they were two different factions. So I honest to god thought that there was some sort of vanilla faction. It was such a basic assumption I never even thought to ask Serc or PS about it. So I thought I was doing a clever little distancing move, sounding out the waters to see what people thought about each of the factions. Instead I just distanced myself from my own team.

To add to that, I was explicitly told I was not allowed to reveal. It was in my role PM. What I had said made it obvious that I wasn't a vanilla marine and the only way I could explain why I thought I was the only marine was by revealing that I was roled. Maybe choosing colonist was a stupid move, but I was under pressure and couldnt think of anything else. I didnt want to claim any sort of role that might exist, since it would just force whoever actually had the role to reveal. Hence my not claiming newt when asked. In addition, I didnt want to make some sort of important sounding role, since it would just get me nk'd in any case.

So yeah, I could maybe have done a little better, but it was an honest mistake, made worse by the constraints placed on me.

Yeah man. The worst was that the post had been made ages ago, busy happily chatting away when suddenly Ano drops this bombshell and I'm suddenly SO confused. In my defense (some more) my role pm says 'you're a badass marine and Serc is your partner'. So I assumed we were THE marines. Not just marines. Hehe, if someone had mentioned just a little earlier that marine=inno things would have been very different.

Still, if there's some sort of mafia awards I nominate myself for the 'stupidest post' award

After the first five minutes I just sat there laughing at how retarded I had been and started making shit up to get people to talk, since I knew there was almost no way I would see the next morning.

@ the mods - There's most post that clearly says who is who on the front page. Maybe you could edit one in or something?
