i suppose he could do. though even with the throne of shadow, as kurald emurlahn is shattered, i doubt he could take on hood. he would need more power, i think.

Traveller, now with a formidable sword, is ensconced on Drift Avallii, guarding the throne; this serves precisely the interests of K + C, at least according to the strategy that Apsalar and Cutter attributed to them.

As to why Traveller should have an axe to grind with his former colleagues, if he is indeed a Talon, it's not difficult to see the reason. The Talon, an organisation fiercely loyal to the old emperor, was cast adrift upon K + C's ascension and left, presumably, to the mercies of the Claw; not a fitting reward for their service. Both Traveller and Hawl might feel a little peeved (and Cotillion did not approach either personally).

I was just thinking,if Traveler is an ascendant, and he has been with Dancer and Kellenvad from the beginning.Is it not possible that he could be one of the newly ascended Bridgeburners,like say...WHISKEY JACK?

nah, it cant be wiskeyjack. everything really points to him being dasseem. from everything i have read, my theory is that dasseem ultor is desembrae reborn. and i think he is still garding the the throne. he said something about staying there long enough to honor andarist's memory. which may be awhile. i thought he was planning his revenge on hood all this time.

What about Greymane? We know almost nothing about him, but his name sounds legendary (to me), he could be 'Old Guard', just like the other mentioned above. He is probably the High Fist of the Malazan forces on Korelri, and most of the leaders of the Malazan are pre-Laseen's reign - Old Guard. He is not mentioned by Nok and mabey he is Dal Honese.

Er, no...Cartheron is Captain, the captain of the ship Ragstopper we've seen in DG.Keeper is indeed Urko.Notice that people from the Old Guard who faked their death seem to choose certain names, another proof for me that Traveller is DU.Wonder how Toc Elder and Ameron call themselves?
BTW Gesler was captain of the marines.

Not at all crazy, because, SE does little to make the book look like an open mind to us(the thing I like about him). We have to unravel everything ourselves and make connections between each plot and PLOTS from SEPERATE BOOKS. I think I will die if he ever makes a passing reference in the last book about something that happened in the first book.....................imagine going back and reading that to try and understand this book .

I wonder if Erikson thinks all the people who read his books have nothing better to do than read his books. I mean I am going for undergrad this year, how am i supposed to concentrate when half the time I keep pondering what will happen in Bone Hunters, while I still havent read Midnight Tides..................... well is that crazy Posted Image

That Traveller guy surely seems like Dasseem, I mean from what we do know of Daseem, he some how fits the description...of the reportedly missing personPosted Image. Also of how he was ready to use that sword of darist. I wonder why he is so singularily ready to defend the throne. Anybody?
