It's fucking annoying and destroys the game for the rest of us. A little bit of RP, fair enough, I don't mind that. I participated in it a little earlier. But we're already up to 23 pages, and we're barely halfway through day 1. 23 PAGES!!! There were what, 17 on Day 1 of the Seguleh game and everyone was moaning about how they were losing the will to live reading it, imagine what they're feeling in this game!

Look, if people were here discussing, I for one would be happy to discuss. But with so few people making an active serious time commitment, I have nothing to turn to but spamming with the masters. Yeah, I know you're number four. But you talking about 'getting the number 5 spot' like you were earlier shows just how far this has descended into a farce.

And yeah, it's Day 1. But that doesn't mean there isn't useful information floating around - this is when people are supposed to be signalling, when they're putting down codes, when they're settling into their roles. How the hell am I supposed to analyse that if the tiny nuggets of interesting stuff are buried under an avalanche of useless and meaningless posts? I have no problem with some tasteful RPing at the start, that's where you're supposed to hide shit, but come on?! It's all very well if you've got unlimited time to devote to the game, but I don't. I've made an effort to read through 892 posts just in case there was anything useful there, and believe me there are many things I should be doing, things I'd prefer to be doing, than sit here and try and make sense of this drivel.


I'm making the effort because when Mafia is being played properly, with cases and reveals, with suspicions and paranoia, it's an incredible game. But the amount of shit I've had to scroll through in the past couple of games has made me seriously consider whether it is worth making that effort.
