Trailer looks great in HD and films with loads of CGI usually do.
I hope the bad guys win and that they get rid of some of the awful macho dialogue that plagued the first film.
Otherwise looks great

It's a Michael Bay film; the macho dialogue comes with the territory. Has anyone listened to Bay's Director's Commentary on the first one? Bay comes across as a huge dick on it; it's quite extraordinary. If he was talented enough, like say Ridley Scott who also comes across as a bit of a dick on his commentaries, then he might have reason to act that way.
If an opinion contrary to your own makes you angry, that is a sign that you are subconsciously aware of having no good reason for thinking as you do. If some one maintains that two and two are five, or that Iceland is on the equator, you feel pity rather than anger, unless you know so little of arithmetic or geography that his opinion shakes your own contrary conviction. … So whenever you find yourself getting angry about a difference of opinion, be on your guard; you will probably find, on examination, that your belief is going beyond what the evidence warrants. Though he can laugh at himself, I remember a commercial with him where he was walking around saying that he liked everything to be intense like his toast, then the toaster blows up, his car, his toilett.
Though that maybe a one of.

Is this going to be in vain of the Pirates of the Caribean Sequals and make Transformers 2 and 3 on big movie really?
THat was pure fail when they did that to Following Pirate movies
or will This movie be its own stand-alone?

From what I've read, this will be standalone. They are slated to do a third, but despite pressure to film 2 and 3 at the same time (a la Pirates), Bay & Spielberg thought the films would be best served if handled individually.
"Here is light. You will say that it is not a living entity, but you miss the point that it is more, not less. Without occupying space, it fills the universe. It nourishes everything, yet itself feeds upon destruction. We claim to control it, but does it not perhaps cultivate us as a source of food? May it not be that all wood grows so that it can be set ablaze, and that men and women are born to kindle fires?"

Michael Bay, well what can I say? Robots, explosions, that's his shit. As long as it looks nice, and doesn't have a TOTALLY shity plot, I'll watch it.
And yeah, talking about good sequels:
Empire
Aliens
Godfather 2
The Two Towers
Terminator II
Not as good as the first, but still ok:
Back To The Future II
Matrix Reloaded

Nooo, sequels can be good. Predator 2
But we'll call it quits.
The only people who think Predator 1 was better than Predator 2 are people who have a secret longing to be held in Arnie's big muscly arms.
Other sequels that were better: T2, Aliens, Empire Strikes Back, Lethal Weapon 2, Hot Shots 2, Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey, Titanic 2: The Raisening (ok, made that one up).
Don't fuck with the Culture.

It has been proven beyond all reasonable doubt that the most powerful force on Wu is a bunch of messed-up Malazans with Moranth munitions.

What? It was a great urban adaption of the first film. ...the grand finalle where Gary Busy gets cut in half with the super razor frisbee of death.
And there's the awesome chase that finally takes glover into the mother ship. The predator cutting off it's hand and using it's first aid stuff, much reminiscent of the first terminator film. There's the cool knife fight to the death. The trophy mantle with a Alien head hanging on the wall. And finally the revelation of the other predators and the fact that they've been hunting us for centuries at least.
That film was fucking awesome. I'd watch it right now if I could!

I have to agree tho, P2 was an excellent film.

I'm opposite you here - Spidey 2 was spider-powered leaps and bounds better than the first one, which really did just suck except for the very first webswinging scene.

CHARLIES ANGELS IS A MASTERPIECE OF MALE CINEMATOGRAPHY!!!
I kid you not, I cried tears of happiness during the opening scene because it was so awesome. The whole film is just one big excuse for fullfilling male fantasies....The line "I like to ride the bull!" may possibly be the greatest line in modern cinema. FUCK YEAH!!!

...So how about them transformers, huh?

Right then... we can hope, but any time a studio tries to one up a big shiny first flim, i get nervous. ALIENS was awesome because the Alien was such a subtle monster in the first one. T2 went in a completely different direction from T1, turned the baddie into a god guy and gave us a bad guy the good guy couldn't beat. On the other hand... Jaws 2. The Matrix sequels. Etc.

Not to sure about the National Treasure-esque "hidden clues around the world", but big robots beating the shit out of each other is always going to override shitty plot.

Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

I clicked away again because this trailer also showed far too much info.
But of what I saw it looked kick ass.
Funny thing about that memory upload the kid seems to have gotten from the piece of what I am guessing is Megatron, has any of you ever read the old, old comics marvel released? I read a few, and there was this one kid that was fucked up and went to the hospital after some robots messed him up. He developed some kind of weird machine abilities. If they've picked up this storyline I might pee myself a little with glee.

Really? well, that's just even more proof that LaBeef is going to get an upgrade in this one.
Can't wait. I for one don't mind the National Treasure'ish plots. I mean fuck, picture the National Treasure films, then insert giant robots blowing shit up into that memory, how awesome is that? For a better experience, imagine Megatron mushing Nick Cage.
