My rooster laughs at your threat Mac, and thumbs his nose in your general direction. "American sports": amer. football, basketball, baseball.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

So last night I was walking downtown for some pizza at like 1am with some friends of mine,
and someone said, "I'm so hungry I could eat a whole pizza."

I said, "I bet I could eat 100 pizzas," and no one understood me. I was sad.

Also, the only sports we don't win at are the ones we don't play...or don't care about, like run-lots or circle-jerk.

I think you've effectively ran out of weekend days to really be able to appreciate a new sport...Irregardless of how good it REALLY is.

In other words, we only don't lose because we're too afraid to compete in the first place :(

If you put him on a pitch and took away the ARMOR it might look like he was playing Run-lots with a rugby style ball.

Yes, Jane Austen was fond of baseball. Some 40 years before it was played in your country mind, but still, it's nice to know it enjoys the support of authors.

One question: When a team wins the superbowl, why does everyone call them world champions? It's very rude to those Canadian teams not allowed to enter.

Is Daytona really considered a sport? It certainly makes for a computer game that was really easy to play

Mac: Facetiousness. Recognize it anywhere around here?
Cougar: Does England play a lot of baseball these days? How long has it been? Is it not the U.S. who spread it to the Far East and Caribbean, and popularized it there? Baseball is an American sport. We didn't invent it, but we are the predominant player in it. We didn't invent basketball, but were for the most part the predominant player in it for a long time. It has obviously caught on in other places too.

Frook: You played a computer game about a city? Was it Sim City?
