Apart from not being very good I found the trailer disgusting. I will not watch the movie. Maybe it's because I'm german, but I find the whole idea of making a gore-fest film about this theme insensitive.

Its like me getting upset because they made a movie about Black guys killing people from the AWB.

It's like saying catching a STD has nothing to do with doing it with a hooker who only takes coins and works full-time.
Still, I cannot ignore the fact that said movie depicts killing people wearing a certain uniform is/was automatically a thing to be cheered for. Sure, in case of Nazi-Germany, to some degree it was necessary. But not every soldier in the Wehrmacht automatically was a Nazi who deserved to die in the most outrageous way. Most of them were decent guys who just happened to be born on the wrong side of the war.
Not that anyone gets the impression that I'm trying to defend the Wehrmacht or something like that. I just find it too easy and very dangerous to deprive anyone of his or her humanity. I very much fear this will be the case with Inglorious Basterds.
