on my first re-reads of series, after reading ICE's nok and rotcg and ran into someone i wanted to find more about.
the captain that young ganoes paran runs into in the beginning of the book, does anyone know who that is?
i attempted a search and failed miserably.

IIRC, the first time Paran(when grown) meets whiskeyjack, whiskeyjack chides him for not taking his advice, presumabely referring to when he met him as a child.
