Hmm, this train is catching on fast. Honestly, I'd be cool with either option. I still think HP is hiding something, but it seems that Tennes will be the lynch for today. I'll keep my vote on HP for a while but I doubt this will be swung. Maybe a tomorrow lynch? we'll see what happens I guess.

Tell me about it
i'm starting to get the bad feeling that i'm way off.
and that Tennes might end up on my team

sigh

It is day 2, you have 7 hours remaining (sort of)

21 players remain, 11 to lynch or goto night.

6 votes for hp ( tennes, serc, meanas, fener, omtose, shaodw)
8 votes for tennes (telas, emrlahn, driss, ruse, galayn, silanah, hp, rashan)

oh shit, I didn't realize there's so little time left.
wow.
I gotta head off soon to supper and then out for a few hours.
I have no clue how the situation with nets at home resolved itself, so I may not have access till tomorrow, if the problem didn't get fixed.

I've got to go to bed soon.

Before people vote, please look at the previous conversation between me and GL. I think i've shown that the case on me is based on absolutely nothing, and that everything GL accuses me of, he himself is guilty of.

Read through it carefully, and make your own minds up. I'll be here for a few more minutes.

I think that yes Tennes is aggressive, but I'm not thinking leader here. The people following his votes are more likely players who know the target isn't their leader and is a safe lynch. OR one may be a leader hoping for some of the symps of vote with.

problem is, most of those people voting are hopeless low posters.
it'd be real difficult to spot somethng leader material there, :D

Will you tell us if he is? :D

What strikes me is not just the speed with which this train builds - somewhat worrying, but there has been voting, discussing, questioning and case building in between the HP thing and the start of this one - but that there's still the HP train (which ramped up quite a few votes early, too) and not a lot of people on it have switched away from it yet. I actually think that if Tennes is a leader, we may have a sizeable contingent (2-3? more?) of his team on the HP train, which would be great for a day 2 merc game.

edited to add a smilie.

Anyway, time to go to bed for me.

True, may be the leading hiding where it is difficult to find.

Off to food now, be back.

I've also been around but unable to post. but it seems this game that I am doomed to a 4 hour posting window. I'll try to be back before lynch but I am going to leave my vote. Tennes brings up some good points, and if we do want to look at Tennes for the reasons stated...well then logically we should look at GL.

This really is going to be my last post.

I know this sounds self-serving, but if anyone's not happy with lynching either of us, you could consider going to night. We'll probably have some kills then more to go on tomorrow. It's not like a normal game where lynching is almost always a necessity, and you do have around a 1 in 3 chance that i'm on your team (or HP is).

Just something to think about.

And again, if you do find you want to lynch me, please look through my defences first, because I think they're pretty good.

Thanks.

Night all.

Where are you finding an actual number of posts for the game? Are you keeping a running tally, or just guesstimating?

Well, I've taken a look at the case on Tennes. It definitely feels stronger than HP's, perhaps because I've been getting weird vibes from Tennes myself. On the other hand, what Tennes says is true - we can apply pretty much all the arguments to Galayn Lord as well. But then, why is that an argument not to lynch Tennes? It's an argument in favour of lynching Galayn Lord as well, certainly, but lynching Tennes is not mutually exclusive with lynching Galayn Lord at a later date. Once again though, the speed at which this train has grown makes me a little cautious about adding my weight to it - I would have expected more resistance were we targetting a leader. Mind you, I was saying that about the HP train before and now look what has happened.

On balance, I'm going to stay on Hood's Path for the time being. I shall hopefully be back after dinner to talk more.

@Emurlahn: if you click on the total number of posts in the Mafia forum screen, it brings up a new window with a breakdown of how many posts each person has made on the thread.

The HP train ramped up quite early because it was based on HP's statements early in the Day. I still like hitting him better than Tennes, even if Tennes is just a little too ... helpfully aggressive. I'm good either way, I'll just stick with my vote out of a desire to at least be consistent.

Well, not quite half of the living have voted, and we do have a possible modkill coming up. I also think there are a few that have either been inactive today, or haven't yet seen the Tennes case. I don't remember seeing Gamelon today, and Thyr only really popped up once that I recall. There are several who may have missed this entirely, though the potential for a whole team missing their leader is admittedly slim. Unless the team is Fire, in which case its less slim.

Ahhh, thank you Fener. I find it amusing that of living players I'm fourth highest, but the 3 dead guys are in the top five. And Gay Lord is now the highest poster on thread.

I'm quite comfortable in the bottom quintile, myself. Feels like home.

Meet Emurlahn, thread killer. His posts are to be feared, as they drive people mad. Those who do not run, become cowering lurkers, unable to speak due to their fright at his inanity. Will he ever be stopped? Perhaps. A champion, (or four, like a good old fashioned Final Fantasy) can rise from the "5 User(s) are reading this topic (0 Guests and 5 Anonymous Users)" bar and help to stimulate a more interesting discussion. Remember, only you can prevent bored spammage.

FUCKING CROSSPOST!!!!!

Yes, well, to each his own. I need one more to tie Tennes. Care to chat?
