@ Gamelon: I haven't bothered mentioning the case on Kaschan. Because I don't think it is based on a good premise, and to me lynching one player for another's behaviour is mostly wrong. Most of the points have already been made. I'm sure I mentioned somewhere that I'd vote for Kaschan if necessary for a lynch, but I like the case on Galain. Plus some ancillary factors which helped me like the case on Galain.

@ Tennes: I have been defending Kaschan indirectly. This is an inevitable consequence of trying to lynch anyone who is not Kaschan.

It's not the same thing at all. No ranked player is motivated to reveal, that is claim truthfully, since the communicating leaders of the other factions would know exactly how to take him out and could do so with little risk. So everybody naturally denies or at least discourages the notion that they are ranked. Openly claiming to be a BM specifically is a different thing since it makes you a target for other BMs if you are believed. A little uncertainty is a good thing.

You're going to have to explain to me the difference between claiming BM and claiming not to be 1st, 3rd or 7th. Because from a logical standpoint they're the same thing.

Its a question of subtlety.

Claiming BM is suspicious, why would you do that.

Claiming not to be the others shows what you are, but because you never outright claim it, it is more likely to be believed.
