The first part of a negation usually drops in casual conversation yes. The "pas" is enough to tell you it's a negative.

lol Illy. I'm glad you can appreciate my subtleness (is that a word?), though perhaps better a tad more subtle yourself wouldn't hurt. Unless of course that all caps is the new subtle, then you are absolutely AWESOME (note my use of subtleness).

Though perhaps I don't need to be subtle about that, I think it is already acknowledged.
