I liked the symbolism through the final ep,

Jax as Reaper especially.. but I'm kind of disappointed that he didn't manage to move on from the past, and wrap things up in a better, smarter way than just repeating history. Ending it like that kind of made a whole lot of the entire series completely pointless and unnecessary, in the end.

Faking his death and getting out of Charming might have been a bit cheesy and less poetic, but going out like he did seemed out of character to me, after all his efforts.. he had already changed his mind on the direction the club was heading several times - given a bit of time he probably would have decided not to end things so permanently.

I'm definitely keeping this on my radar.

There was talk that an SOA origin series was being tossed about, where the mc's back story would take us back to Vietnam. I would have liked that better, but I'm anticipating this for sure. With guarded optimism, however, because Sutter's The Bastard Executioner was such a let down.
