Hey there Grim, did you do this on your comp, or draw/paint it and then scan?
Cos if it's on the comp, you could redo the hair relatively easily to make it more fire like (by doing the hair again as a separate layer).
But since Burn is "of the earth" maybe it would be better to make her hair seem like it's glowing from the heat of the earth (i.e. Lava)?
If you do the hair again (or even cut the hair you've already done out) and mess around with the hue/saturation levels, you can make it look quite fiery fairly simply.
Also, you can then duplicate the layer again and mess around with blurring effects before merging, to give it more of a glow/heat haze.
Now that said, it's easy to make it look fiery red, a fiery kind of yellow i found much tougher.
My photoshop skills are really rusty at the moment, and i got told off by other forumites before (not the artist) for redoing a pic to illustrate my point, so I'll just leave it at that.
But it's a nice image, and I'd love to see how much further you could take this idea.
