I can't decide if Ireland were just piss-poor or if France were just excellent in that game. Depressingly, i suspect it was the latter.

So drunk on Saturday......

Wales v Scotland was simply put, the most ridiculous game of rugby i've ever seen. Scotland were awesome for 50-60 mins of the match, Wales were dreadful. The referee did no favours to anyone and was horrendous for the whole game. Bizarrely Wales scored 17 points whilst Scotland lost men to yellow cards, the same amount England scored last week under similar circumstances. The game was what this year's championship needed, tries, sinbins, tension, drama, nasty injuries and, contention. Scotland were, imo, hard done by and probably deserved to win. The fact they didn't was partly their own fault, partly the fault of the ref, partly down to injuries and partly down to Wales' superior fitness and unwillingness to give up, brilliant entertainment though.

On a related note in the early hours of this morning Wales' Andy Powell was arrested for drink driving on the M4 motorway.......in a stolen golf buggy. What a dull twat, well at least he's cleared up any selection issues in the backrow for the next game. In comes Jonathon Thomas at 6 (finally) leaving room for Brad Davies or Ian Gough to come in at lock. Cooper also has to be toast !

I missed the France-Ireland match due to drunkeness but saw the highlights. France are going to be tough to beat on that showing, Ireland looked....old and jaded.

I caught most of the England -Italy game and I still can't quite believe we lost to that England team, they were awful. The backs hardly got the ball again and it was a really boring game, but they won and I suppose that's all that matters at the moment. England-Ireland is going to be interesting and on current form I'd fancy Scotland for the Calcutta Cup.

My Fantasy team is doing well with tries from Williams and Jauzion and a couple of assists but it could have been so much better.

Forgetting to pick Parra as kicker will haunt me for the remainder of the competition. Barring an unsuspected English victory over France, I see no other victor than the French. They were amazing on sunday, and comparing the results both they and the welsh had against the scots, I can't see Wales beating them.

On current form i'd totally agree, France for the Grand Slam is a pretty safe bet. BUT, and it's a BIG BUT, this is France we are talking about. They can be notoriously inconsistent and a cold Friday night in Cardiff against a Welsh team that finally decides to play for 80 mins instead of 40 (against England) and 20 ( against Scotland) could be interesting. If Mike Phillips is fit for Wales and the forwards play their best game, this one could go either way.

I'm not putting money on it though

Also regarding Parra, he's a scrum half so not picking him as kicker is understandable, I think the other French half Elissalde is a kicker as well, it's odd that the Frenchies don't have a recognised kicker at out half or full back because I think Jauzion kicks as well and he's a centre !

Now that the Super 14 has started there is just too much rugby  Especially considering I dont own my own TV. Didnt manage to catch any of the 6-Nations games, I foresee this being the trend for quite some time.

Well, that ends my theory that England might actually get somewhere in this competition. Horrendous game!

I swear, watching Wales play at the moment is not good for my health.

Utter shit for a half and then it's almost as if they decide they actually give a shit and start to play. Granted France were on the money first half, but disappeared in the second. I don't think they broke the gainline for more than 10 yards once and never looked like scoring. Apart for the 2 interceptions FFS !

Anyway, gripping game at the end and the best thing on the telly by far. Friday night internationals are definitely here to stay. Cardiff probably looks like Haiti around about now.

Super Saturday is here!
I hope Les Blues make the grand slam. Also some hopes for Sexton delivering some proper conversions and penalties this time around...

Congratulations France on a well deserved Grand Slam and congratulations me, because i'm awesome.

1 Masanators 319
2 Capustan Phoenix 304
3 Telorast Almighty 277
4 The Korelri Kickers 274
5 The ALTenators 244
6 Tweekeerbellen 206
7 Yorkshire Time Wasters (Tiste Fail) 172

Dan Parks was a fucking legend for me on saturday, however throughout the tournament Shane Williams, Tommy Bowe, Jauzion, Parra and BOD have been my star players. Biggest disappointment has to be Kearney, injured and shit.
