In case nothing is right...and because i can...

Assume there are approximately 6,000,000,000 (6 billion) people on
Earth. What would you estimate to be the result, if you multiply
together the number of fingers on every person’s left-hands? (For the
purposes of this exercise, thumbs count as fingers, for five fingers
per hand.) If you cannot estimate the number then try to gues how long
the number would be.

Well, 5 cubed is 125 which is about 100, so 5 raised to the 6,000,000,000 should be approximately 4,000,000,000 digits long.

Don't look now, but I think there's something weird attached to the bottom of my posts.

Ah, now I get it. Somewhere in the world there will be someone without any fingers on their left hand. Ergo, the answer would be 0.

A ship anchored in a port has a ladder (beginning and ending with a rung), where the bottom rung touches the water. The distance between rungs is 20 cm and the length of the ladder is 180 cm. The tide is rising at the speed of 15 cm each hour.
When will the water be up to the level of the third rung from the top?

Dammit, got it now.
The ship is rising with the tide. The water won't reach the other rungs. :D

There you go. Another answer would have been "When the ship sinks" :D

Your turn to provide a riddle.

You have a desert to cross.
You need five days to cross it but you are only able to carry water for three days.
There are some helpful people who can carry water themselves and accompany you (but each can, as you, carry only water for three days).
You're not allowed to let them die. That means you can either send them back (to where you started your journey) with enough water, or you can take them with you to the other side.
How many helpers do you need to cross the desert?
I'd like to know the minimal amount of helpers.

Just as a clarification: when you say they will be able to carry water for 3 days, that is 3 days' worth of water for one person, right?

Do they have to accompany you , or can they start from the other side and meet you?

15.

Edit: No its just 5.

You and 1,2,3,4,5.

End of day 1 - everyone has 2 days left.
1, 3, 5, give their extra 1 day to you, 2, and 4, and head back.
in the middle of day 2, number 2 has 2.5 days left, he gives .5 to you and 4 and heads back on his 1.5.
End of day 2 and both you and 4 have 2.5. four gives you his extra .5 and heads back.
That leves you with 3 days of water and 3 days of travel to go.
