When did I steer suspicion onto people that haven't posted? If you mean when I said I wonder if something's up, I was more concerned they might be having RL issues.

ahhhh, ok I misinterpreted what you were saying

No problem, it happens. :harhar:
Tbh I haven't seen much worthy of suspicion either, but the game has been quite slow so far. Gah.

People have been more stupid than suspicious thus far.

I am a little disappointed that my What's Eating Gilbert Gape post didn't get a few lol's, I'll work on that.

@ Mockra, you may not have come right out and said "Lynch the top poster's, but you eluded to that in 2 of your posts. Thats what I find odd.

Well I personally haven't seen anybody post anything blatantly suspicious, so there doesn't seem to be much point to vote unless it's as a joke. I pay more attention to a person's behaviour than whether or not they've been racking up the posts. I'm not going to vote someone just because they haven't posted ten times in the first eight hours.

Ok I'm back from a haircut and notice that I am being attacked here. So let me explain why I voted for Kesso.

The converstation that I quoted was talking about the killer reveal from Omtose. Kesso says that Omtose appears guilty in the first post. HP agrees wih Kesso. Then the line that I bolded. Kesso is telling us to ignore the reveal. To me, I was thinking the Kess is symping Omtose.

I was trying to make a case.

How can you possibly read my post like that? It's like me reading this post of yours as a song by Abba.

well, do forgive my scepticism, judge Kesso, but I feel that it's WAY too early to be making any definite conclusions about anyone.

must be off for a bit to get some work done, browser's still open though, so will check occasionally.

When did I, or for that matter anyone, make a definite conclusion about anyone so far? I am waiting anxiously for your quoted example.

Because that was why Thyrllan originally voted me. Then Mockra attacks him out of the blue. I've only made the connection now that could be considered defending me.

Ahhh, I see. Ok, maybe. I'll think on it, I am really interested in why Mockra wants to kill the high posters though. Will wait on Mockra before I vote.

and how exactly do you draw THAT conclusion?
just because i say I first noticed a high poster as someone I may consider suspicious does not equate with me wanting to lynch (I don't kill, btw, :) only killers do that) the high posters

High posters are more memorable and we are more likely to recall them. that's natural.
As of right now, I don't want to lynch Thyr because he's top poster. My vote on him is because he's been changing his mind and jumping al over the place a lot.
It may not be the greatest reason, but I stand by my firm and time-tried assumption that no good case can come of day 1.

So you're basically saying –taking into account this and the other post I quoted – that lynching anyone day 1 is a bad idea. Or are you more in favour of waiting until the very last minute and then piling ten or so votes on some poor sod giving us a lynch train with absolutely no value?

So you admit to being a symp and that one of the killers are within the low posting group? How intriguing

Cause thats not strawmanning at all.
I also dislike Mockras case on me.

He attacks me for jumping around.

I made 2 joke votes.
I then made a serious vote, reconsidered and changed.

He made a serious vote, then changed to me.

So, he is doing exactly what he is attacking me for.

It is an obviously weak case, which gives the impression he just wants somewhere to ditch his vote, which wont lead to train, whihc could cast suspicion on him, and will mean he wont have to do much with his vote, and also gives the impression he is contributing by pushing what seems to me a very weak argument, when actually he's not contributing to lots of other cases etc.

So yeah, mockra seems a bit suspicious.
Kesso seems perhaps a tad on the over defensive side, although he did rack up lots of votes fairly quickly.

No, I was referring to the fact that some people are of the opinion that it's a good idea to vote the low posters for no other reason than that they aren't posting. It's only been eight hours people may not have had much chance to post yet. I'm just saying post count isn't everything.

The thing about Kesso's votes is, why would any of the scum leap on that train that early? The scum usually join in the middle/end, after all. Its possible that one of them was scum, but if both were, they have made a very very foolish mistake.

What did the first part of your post refer to? And as for Mockra, I think we all agree he is acting pretty irrationally. I've not decided whether I think it's because he's new or if he's evil. Either way, I'm not all that opposed to voting for him either.

Hello

Sorry for not being around today, been off to see the folks, and train was late. I'm around now, on and off. Should be around a fair bit tomorrow.

Not got a lot to say about the thread - it's six pages of nothing :)
