greetings everyone

when exactly did the downing of the forum you all refer to occur?

Incidentally, Meanas has been reading un-hiddenly, but has not yet posted

vote Meanas

quit lurking

Not exactly lurking. The bathroom opened up when I was on pg 2 so I hopped in to take a shower before someone else did. Done now and mostly caught up on the day one spam. Unfortunately I am going out and probably will not be able to post any real thoughts till I get back.

Yes, I really am that obvious. Im going to vote on anyone and everyone until there is a lynch, just to get a lynch.
Because I have no patience, so instead of waiting patiently for a lynch, while being inconcpicious im going to jump about with my vote, drawing as much attention as possible and looking suspicious.

Bollocks, did I just give away my game plan? :harhar:

Serc, by your logic, we should leave alone anyone being symped, since symps never symp there masters. Thats convinient.
However, Emur could just be looking for an easy train to hide on, and I cant recall him posting much else, so he seems to be avoiding attention.

By my logic, you should come up with a reason for voting someone, because its easy for symps to fake-symp someone, provoke your kind of reaction, and then try to start a train on that person, or just let it happen itself. I think if you want to vote me for being symped, at least also come up with a second reason based on my play style. Let that be a lesson for future games.

Care to explain then, why you're attacking when 2 of those were fairly obvious joke votes.
That makes 2 serious votes.
Thats the same as you.
Kettle, pot etc?

And im sure there are people changing far more than I, if we're counting jokes.

And you thought I was lynch happy?

you jump out at me as one of the top posters.
posting and switching votes so much is bound to grab people's attention, so I'm currently thinking symp.

Thing is, in this game a symp can also be the creature role of the cult, and just as dangerous as the killers.

untill I can figure out who (if anyone) you are symping for, my vote'll stay

Well, lynching seems about the only way you're sure to get rid of someone with the necromancers around, and is the chosen method of elemination for the town. To imply you're not looking for a lynch is a bit weird in my opinion... what else are you looking for? I definately have no qualms at all about lynching.

Lastly, voting is pressuring. Granted, Thyr may be fluttering a bit too fast from one player to another to make an impression and get info out of the pressured, but well, none of us is perfect. Moreover, Thyr changed votes 4 times, but, dear Mockra, you voted twice in 3 posts. :harhar: Not exactly a paragon of steadfastness yourself, are you? And yet it is exactly why you vote.

Remove vote
Vote Mockra.

For being holier-than-thou.

it will always be gut on the first day, and in all honesty I am of two minds about Omtose. For one I don't like the post and the nervousness it radiates, but at the same time I do recognice that small things become huge in the absence of larger blocks of information – which is essentially why day 1 lynches are as odd as they are – ergo I may be less objective in this regard than I would've liked. Omtose is a strong player, if a bit too willing to parrot my every say in an attempt to seem wise, and so I am not quite convinced we should move to lynch him today..

But at the same time, he seems to guilty!

He does seem very guilty! The thing about it is he's not really doing anything to deny the guilt. It seems odd to me, at first he was nervous about it and now he's throwing it all out there in a way. Very erratic behaviour! An attempt at some reverse psychology perhaps?

the best way to avoid this kind of thing is to ignore it.. unless someone latches on. Unfortunately for the killers, it's often difficult to do that.

Middle-of-the-roading, boys. I don't like it, but its not actually a scum tactic, not all the time anyway.
Kessobahn, seems to be like thats a bit of symping. "Omtose is a strong player... and so I am not quite convinced we should move to lynch him today." That's not only middle of the roading, its keeping the attention on him in a subtle way, making us watch him, and making Kess seem like he's posting solid content. Of course at the same time we should just "ignore it". While I can see Omtose being guilty, the only time any "suspicious post" gets scum lynched Day One is when its a drunken post
Vote Kessobahn

Ok, you want a gamestyle problem.
Here we go. This is your vote. Probably your most contentful post so far.

So, first you've said he's middle of the roading. Then you've said thats not actually that suspect.
Then you attack him for what is essentially middle of the roading.

You say it keeps our attention on him:

Not particularly. No more so than any time someone attacks someone a bit. Its not as if he's making us tunnel-vision on him or something.
In fact, the votes you've cast on Kesso have done a lot more attention grabbing, for you and kess. Is that a bad thing?
You think someones suspicious, you say so, people look at them. yes, it gets them a bit of attention. Again, im not really complaining cause its not stopping us looking at other people aswell.

Makes him look like posting solid content: Cant say it does for me tbh. To me, as you point out, it just looks like middle of the roading.

So, the middle of the roading thing, as you say, isnt always scummy.

Then you've attacked him for attacking someone. Yes he says ignore it. To me, it isnt saying "Look at omtose" followed by "Ignore omtose". It reads more "Look at omtose, I find him suspect" followed by "This particular post may as well be ignored"

And you've essentially latched on, and drawn a lot of attention to kess.
Wait, isnt that what was scummy about kess in the first place?

Unlike your method of grabbing attention, which seems to be vote+tunnelvision...

No problem, just went back and analysed what gave me the gut feeling of disliking the argument.

*sigh* Can't we all be friends?

Oh wait, this is Mafia. Eventually I'll join you guys in throwing the accusations around, but I feel like I should try and create an illusion of the continuation of Happy Happy Fun Time for a while longer first.

ok, where are you getting tunnelvision from?
lol, ffs, we're 6 hourrs into day 1,6 people haven't posted at all yet, some of those who did only did so to tell us they won't be on for a while.

you honestly expect to find a "slip" by scum in the first 5 hours?
lol, the only time that's ever happened was when a killer pretended to be drunk at the end of a day and people read too much into it and jumped tot he right conclusions for the wrong reasons (i.e., 100% by sheer luck)

most of the time Day 1 lynch hits an inno.

so far the only interesting tings we've heard was the supposed "killer reveal". I find it difficult to take that seriously.
you being symp-like all over the place jumps out, because like I said, you and Omtose are top posters.

Sometimes, I hate Mafia.
