Ok, I haven't watched it yet, but having seen the trailer, I'm surprised no one has mentioned all the similarities with The Shining? (Kubricks version).

Hotel from Hell? Weird shots up corridors fro ground-level; odd things/people in masks behind hotel room door, an empty bar room...

I have to watch it now, just in case they even managed to fit a reference to room 237 into it somewhere.

That's because they are all talking about the previous episode, not "The God Complex" :p

The God Complex was good, creepy ect. but I think the ending made that episode what it is. It was very heartfelt, the whole thing.

That was my point? The God Complex was the most recent episode, and no one was talking about it...? :p
So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

So ive just watched the God Complex and thought it was an excellent episode. The Doctors room being nmber 11 was a nice touch. I assume what was in their was Amy/Rory's grave or something similar and as a result he left them.

Fucking James Corden and the Cybermen next week. Might skip it....

Whaaaaat? Those are the two reasons I WILL be watching. I love the Cybermen, and I loved THE LODGER.

Good episode. The Minotaur had a 'Pans Labyrinth' look to it, and the hotel was very reminiscent of the Overlook from The Shining.

Although, one question about the end... is Amy still sure that the Dr is going to die soon, based on what she saw in the first episode of the series? Or did all that get resolved somewhere I might have missed? I thought the series was going to loop back to that; but if the Drs death is resolved/explained, how will Amy find out about it ?

They will be dealing with the Doctor's death at Lake Silencio in Utah (from the opening two-parter) in the last two episodes of the Series, THE WEDDING OF RIVER SONG PART 1 & 2, so no they haven't really dealt with it yet.

The Wedding of River Song is one episode, there's only two left in the series.
I can't carry it for you, but I can carry you.

Amy still doesnt seem to give a shit about her baby and seems to want to sight see.

i will watch the new one tonight. Hopefully James Corden will only be in it for like 5 minutes

Edit- Was a meh episode plotwise but a good level of character development for the Doctor with next weeks episode looking good

Yesterday's episode was better than I thought it would be. But that's because I have such abysmally low expectations with anything to do with him it. He still really can't act, but the episode wasn't terrible.

Trailer for the next one looked good though.

CLOSING TIME was decent, not great. Was it me or were the Cybermen less fearsome here than previously? Meh, Corden was alright, but it seems like this was an extended prologue of the Doctor's last goodbye before heading off to the finale.

Full review here: http://icebergink.bl...osing-time.html

My bad about the next episode, I think when it was announced I recall something about it being two parts.

At any rate, THE WEDDING OF RIVER SONG looks decent enough, but is anyone else not the least bit surprised by anything in the Next Time trailer? It all looks fairly by-the-numbers to me. River will have to shoot the Doctor, I'm sure he wants her to in fact, River might cross her own time stream to save him...I don't know, I'm looking forward to it, but I'm not over the moon excited. I think the only thing I really want to see if how he avoids the double shot no-regeneration death.

I think while Series 6 has gotten better in the second half of the Series, it's still my least fave Series since DW's return in 2005.

I enjoyed it, but was less than totally impressed overall for a few reasons.

*sigh* As I've now come to expect from Doctor Who, a bit of a mess of a finale. Was not a fan.

Don't look now, but I think there's something weird attached to the bottom of my posts.

A few cop outs throughout the episode/series that would mean a culmination of a cheap 'it was a robot lol' was inevitable. Such a shame

Edit- Though I did like Amy killing that woman. Ive been on about the fact that amy accepted far too eeasily the fact that she lost her child. I liked her dark streak in this one.

The finale was decent, not great. The whole robot Doctor business left some dangling questions, like the regeneration effect (I suppose could have been an illusion) and how nobody noticed it was a robot (I guess they're just that realistic), but whatever.

Looking forward to the Xmas special.

My wife still hates Matt Smith. She actually wants to go back to Christopher Eccleston.
OK, I think I got it, but just in case, can you say the whole thing over again? I wasn't really listening.

My other issue about the Robot was how does that FOOL TIME into thinking the Doctor has died. The way it seemed to be explained was that his death had become a fixed point, meaning that since he STILL didn't die time should still be messed up...but it's not. The only way they could explain that away is if they say that the FIXED POINT was never the Doctors death, but River killing a robot version of the Doctor...I dunno, like I said in my review I think the whole episode crumbles if you think even slightly hard about anything in it.

And yeah, I miss both Tennant and Eccelstone, I think that while Matt Smith is good, he can't even hold a CANDLE to either of those that came before.
