hi spy! sorry couldnt resist that lame rhyme.
but i think we should make it a rule that if we think we guessed correctly, we wait for a response wether we are or not, and then bring in a new quote. otherwise, we always have two or three quotes running and everybody is confused.

He is correct (and welcome to the board). It is indeed Silchas Ruin to Kettle, when he is informed about the azath transformation. Lets work on his quote now. I cannot remember reading it, so my initial guess is that it is not one of the major characters.

I can't remember her name for the life of me, but it's that woman from the Ratcatchers Guild to Tehol... At least I think it is.

You mean Rucket. But I don't think it is her. But well, I really got no clue yet

Damn it, I know this one but can't think of a new quote!
OK, I'll answer it and whoever posts next can do the next quote.

Spoiler
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

You guys do quotes of the memory instead of books?
I just grap the nearest Malazan book and start looking for something. Makes it easier for you guys as well, since it is directly taken from the books. Thought others might want to do the same.
I have absolutely no clue about this one though.

It wasn't Duiker who said it, but he was the one who replied, Fisher or just in generel as I recall. It happens in TTH also. I can remember the scene but not precisely who said it.
I think the one who said it is Picker or Blend?
