I'd love to see an Advent Rising 2. The first one was supposed to be part of a trilogy until it didn't sell well, but it was a VERY good game for original xbox. I was sad that they cancelled the rest of the series after the first one. I actually just ordered it off amazon as a christmas gift to myself heh.

Anyway the script was written by Orson Scott Card and had some good voice acting. It is a sci-fi story where this alien race destroys your homeplanet and you take the fight back to them with cool weapons and powers.

shadow of the Horned rat re-released running on the mark of chaos engine.
That or a strategy game that has the same great gameplay that the original warhammer games provided but with a decent graphics engine.

That would be APB (I think), they were working on it for the 360 but God only knows if they still are or not.

I'm still waiting on someone to do a Spawn game correctly.

QUOTE (Stalker @ Jan 23 2009, 01:09 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
So last night I was walking downtown for some pizza at like 1am with some friends of mine,
and someone said, "I'm so hungry I could eat a whole pizza."

I said, "I bet I could eat 100 pizzas," and no one understood me. I was sad.

I want another LoK (Legacy of Kain) game.

I want to know how the story ends, dammit!

Definately seconded.

For something a bit different, though, I would really like to see a sequel to Evil Genius.

And, of course, there's obviously the game I'm sort of advertising in my sig (assuming we can pull it off)... :robo:

though I'm not usually for remakes,

A remake of planescape torment with true 3D...a la WOW or oblivion (or whatever) would be in-fucking-credible. I've tried to replay that game recently but the infinity engine makes my eyes bleed now.

They could add in voice acting to replace some of the infinite dialogue and lessen the eyestrain from reading, plus have a more complex combat engine...

I think it'd be cool...as long as they don't take the concept and make it a open-choice type game. The game would suck without it's primarily linear (and very engaging) story.

I would have said Deus Ex 2, but they've apparently skipped it and gone straight to 3, so I'll say Freespace 3 instead.

Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

A sequel to Return to Castle Wolfenstein. I've been playing the remake since sunday and it's just so damn good. Why did they never make another one?

I think I may have completted the game twenty or thirty times since it was released and it just never gets old.

There is nothing like shooting cartoon nazi's for fun :p

Indeed, all this nonsense about Invisible War is just that; nonsense. It never existed.

I'd love to see a new Leisure Suit Larry, more like the first seven and less like the so-called LSL 8 (which was total crap). Along those lines, I'd love to see some more Kings Quest and Quest for Glory games.

In terms of games that don't exist that I think would rock, I'd love to see a decent CCG made into a video game, like Magic: The Gathering. I think there was an old Magic game, but it sucked. I want one that would have truly collectible cards. Kind of like in FF8 and FF9 with their Tetra Master and those card games, where you can buy certain cards, but the more rare ones you have to win from other players.

I'd also like to see Ender's Game turned into a video game, probably along the lines of KOTOR.

Maters of Orion 4 (Lets all forget MOO 3)

Alpha centauri 2

X-com 4 (Has to be turn based action on the ground but lots more depth and style in both the interception and city world phase)

Mario Vs Sonic (Why the hell not)

Goldeneye 2

I want all the prince of persia games blended into one. The new PoP's Art style; the character depth, banter and story quality from Sands of Time; and the combat from the other 2. They will still probably manage to screw it up though. PoP is fated to always be deeply flawed in some manner.

seconding Freespace 3

Shogun 2: Total War tops my list. It's what made them great, they should do it in 3D now. Plus, I LOVE the Sengoku Jidai Period.

A superspy RPG game (not shooter). Bioware should be able to do an RPG-esque Bond-like game and do it well.

A new turnbased fantasy strategy game, preferably fiendishly difficult. I'm really anxious for Disciples III (if they'll ever release it), and can't wait for Solium Infernum from indie-developer Cryptic Comet... but I nevertheless want a high budget game to spend hours and hours and hours upon.

I would like an RPG (Fallout 3/Oblivion style) set in something like Ian M Banks'
Culture.

So you could start out in a spaceport, with different paths to take - get a ship, and off you go. NOT primarily space flight sim, where you spend hours in a dull cockpit, but travelling to different Orbitals (spacestations) ships, planets, moons etc.
More emphasis on exploring the places you land in, than on trying to dock properly. The flying part could be as complex/simple as you want it, with fast travel options, or the ability to fly into a planets atmosphere, find somewhere to land manually etc. (Or shoot up the locals).

Mercenary, trader, pirate, military, whatever. Bit Firefly really, but without the Western theme on EVERY planet, and the advanced tech of the Culture mixed with more primitive planets.

You could have personal upgrades from available tech; different ships, and plenty of missions, sub missions and things to do. It could be as big as they could make it.

So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.
