Bah, let's get this Jump Around thing out of our system, so that we can play properly. It's day one, so this is probably better than wasting it on an inno...although perhaps the train won't be as useful...

Kaschan the same can be said about Thyrllan. He has a wooping 3 posts.

Ok, so the JA thing didn't pan out. No surprise there.

For Making JA feel loved even though he isn't playing

Right, Korlat was the first person to vote for JA, but he did it as a joke. I was the one who first suggested that we should seriously try and lynch him, to see what happened. I'm also the one (but not the only one) who said that Silanah was looking pretty nervous at the prospect of us lynching someone who is not playing, and getting to night without a real lynch.

If people recall (check my last post), Silanah seemed to want to just lynch anyone, even though we would get no CF. This struck me and others as scum behaviour. Especially seeing as how Silanah has come back and is trying to push a lynch based on the JA vote thing, this is very lynch-happy play.

vote Silanah

For reasons already stated.

Probably not a good idea to even paraphrase your role PM, man. The mods have gone medieval.

Yeah, and Kesso had 2 at that point in time, so I started at the real bottom of the list, since that seemed, you know, the logical and unbiased thing to do.
So, what were you trying to say, with pointing at Thyrllan? You more eager to see him lynched than Kesso?

i checked first :D

winning conditions are allowed to be discussed, i was wondering if people had any? we dont have an opening scene, and we have no indication of how the game is structured. I am guessing as two people died during the day the are some strange mechanics, but if people have specifics on what they are meant to do to win, sharing would be good.

Fwiw, and hopefully you're right about the "no modkills for this" business - I have no idea what my winning conditions are.

Other people have probably been given more information, just to make it possible for the game to move along. As well, I wouldn't be surprised if we got more information in PMs as the game progresses - there might be triggers for that. I can't imagine we'll all be kept in the dark forever, that would make the game pointless.

Well let's not have another mass-reveal of RIs, eh? We all agree the game is complex. Let's not discuss roles, or it will paint targets on people.

As far as I can see the following three posts is the reason people are voting for Silanah.

View PostSilanah, on Dec 16 2008, 03:17 AM, said:

Also from what I understand if JA is voted for. There will be no lynch and we will go to night. Now what if JA gets to come into the game and inhabit one of our alts. I personally want to keep playing my alt and don't want to have to wait on the sidelines while the game goes on. What I am trying to say is that by voting for a person who isn't playing the game we might be allowing them to come in.

Now I don't know how much I really want a lynch due to the fact that we have already lost two people. But I am pretty sure that we should lynch. Why cause you have to lynch. By voting for someone who isn't even playing you are removing all information from a normal lynch and only helping out the scum who ever they may be.

Weirdness bolded by me. I'm not sure what this says about Silanah, but the game can't really go to night if there isn't a lynch first (unless we all vote night or time runs out, but you get me point). Also, he's only "pretty" sure we should lynch?

Uh, I'm not even sure if there's scum in the game yet (really who the hell knows), but if there is, you're looking likely to be part of it. We don't get CF information. You know this ... but want us to randomly lynch someone for "information." At this point, lynching anyone in-game is likely to hit an Inno. We (OK, I'm mostly speaking on my own behalf) have no idea what's going on. Hell, I don't even know what the game's acronym stands for.

But you want us to up and lynch someone anyways, when we'll get nothing out of it. The rest of your ramblings don't make much more sense, btw.

Well, I guess I can thank you for getting the game truly started, rather than just joking around:

The information that I was referring to is a lynch train. I don't see how lynching someone who isn't playing can get any information what so ever. It is just a bullshit vote. When have we ever played a game where there wasn't some type of scum? Whether the scum are a cult or different merc or more traditional scum roles. There is always scum. I feel that is pretty much a guarantee in Mafia. If you think differently please enlighten me as to why. I think that with what we know we might have as good a shot at hitting a member of scum as we do a towny.

And you are welcome for actually trying to play the game and trying to figure out what is going on. [Sarcasm] Thanks for deciding to play and contribute. [/Sarcasm]

I don't understand at all what he trying to say here, except he doesn't like fun. Other than that it's just stating the obvious. Also it made me laugh. :D

No reason to vote for anyone else? What kind of argument is that?

Silanah doesn't seem to have his head in the game. It seems he's trying to make convincing arguments, and failing miserably. This kind of reasoning and case building doesn't help us at all.

Silanah, if you're gonna vote for Korlat, you have to make a more reasonable case than that.

Actually, any kind of reveal will result in a modkill, the rules are pretty clear on that.

I think its quite possible that noone knows anything at the moment but will gradually get revealed as the game goes on through PMs, I definitely got the impression that some things will change as we progress.

Sigh. Stop giving away info about yourself. Every time you say things like that, it gives the scum (if they exist) a big helping hand, cos they will know you're not on their side.

You don't have to reveal your role to reveal your role, you know?

stop being so transparent gamelon, it means nothing of the sort. You can't infer anything about roles from it, you cant even tell if anyone is lying about having no info and it certainly doesnt indicate if someone is good or evil.

Not discussing anything, and no one having any idea whats going on is helping the scum because we cannot make cases because we have no way to judge what direction peoples gameplan is heading toward. If someone has winning conditions they will act a certain way, but everyone seems to be firing blind.

Which, guys, is why we need to get day one over with. Although I'm not sure about how exactly that will help us. Sure, by all means, drag today out (nice that we did get to see what would happen if JA died, btw).

Hmm...acutally, perhaps we should not lynch today. Trains can't tell us anything, after all - no CF. I'm not even sure how we are supposed to play this game, until someone who is dead can give us an insight or something. O.o

Bullshit. Being the first person to come out and say what their role pm says about their winning conditions is bad. You're a liability, Korlat.

Stop talking about your winning conditions if you actually want to win. Cos you can bet your life that scum will do their best to get around them.
