telas - i made a decision, the post had just gone up and i edited it. I see modkills as a severe last resort that rule is designed to avoid the town mass revealling and breaking the game in a way it was not designed to be played. The result of the cf would also have influenced the game. If you wish i will modkill tennes now and withhold the cf, but i am not biasing a decision players need to make by removing a player and garaunteeing a course of action which robs another player of their chance or detracts from the flow of the game needlessly.

I assumed that was what happened and didn't mention it again. Wasn't planning to mention it again until someone brought it up. Angling for the CF once was worth a try though.

Opening Scene

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Quinn watched as the towns folk grabbed another Ivet, he couldnt tell who it was from this distance and with the failing light, but the orange jump suit was unmistakable. The other two, all that remained of his sect in the Ivets, where crouched behind him. Their serpent beast had taken full control over them, and instead of fear their felt empowered by the slaughter, for they were not weak like the others. The townsolf that hunted them had numerical advantage yes, but they were skilled killers, well practiced in deciet and murder. Quinn had taught them well.

"Lets move, if any of them come for us in the night we will send them to Light Brother and curse their souls to the pit."

"And Laton?" asked Lawrence.

Quinn paused for a moment, considering his hidden nemesis. "He did us a favour when he cut the comm lines to the capitol, so we can deal with him later."

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It doesnt mention him being an Ivet. Says he leads them. Not he is one.

This is book stuff
Quinn's a criminal
caught for smuggling something something on Earth
part of an ivet gang. Ivets are criminals whose labour is sold tot he highest bidder. these ivets were bought by the company that settled Lalonde. they are basically slaves to the colonists.

this is no big spoiler, since you learn this in the first Quinn chapter in the book, so I don't mind writing this. I just find the discussion of whether or not Quinn is an Ivet to be stupid.

I am usually not a big fan of revealing my self. However in my case there wasn't a down side and I could get a lynch on scum. I felt that it was a good call.

Of course, the other possibility is that you were Recruited by the Cult the first night, and are now using Townies to help your new faction get rid of Killers. Even if Rashan comes up Ivet, that doesn't entirely clear you of all suspicion.

I'm not saying I believe this, I'm just saying that Rashan's CF doesn't necessarily establish your bonafides from an Inno perspective. The presence of a cult makes such suspicion necessary.

Serc, I seriously doubt PS will confirm or deny anything that's said on thread that isnt a clarification of mechanics. So I dont see PS backing you up if you do choose to reveal.

Also, while it's perfectly likely that Tennes could be cult, his actions dont make sense if he did. Deflection? The pressure had just come off of everyone but Rashan. Taking out the killers? Rashan was already under pressure, and looking like the best target for a lynch. He could have sat idly by without drawing any attention to himself, possibly revealing if the train on Rashan looked like it might derail.

**Request for clarification**

If someone with a night action gets recruited (can a person with an NA get recruited?), do they keep their powers? If not, does that night's action go through?

I understand that this question wont be answered if it will have a huge impact on the game, but it would be nice to know.

Edit to make more sense

I can tell you my night action and PS can publish it. If I'm a killer, that'll be the only kill and ye can lynch me.

ruse - i will answer that, because the mechanics of the game in terms of order are important. Possession or recruitment is second last before kills. if a person has an action that action will go through before they are possessed.

Serc I would rather you didnt reveal as we don't this turning into a repeat of the Heroes game ( which is probably why the rule against role reveal was introduced)

Also, if you do feel like you absolutely have to reveal (you've just semi-revealed as it is) please wait until tomorrow. Since it's still night, you're giving the scum info. The cult would know who not to target, same for the killers, who could also possibly decide to hold a kill and make you look guilty.

Also, I'm going to be off now, see you all tomorrow.

Don't reveal, Serc. If your role is good, it is most likely that you'll be taken out, and much good will it do then. If its bad, they'll ignore you. Also, depending on the possession demands/ mechanics, possessed may be called down in you to make sure no-one gets the role.

If you don't reveal tonight, you let them guess.

huh?
Serc, rule of thumb is no reveals at night.
also, why would PS publish your action?

I really don't get why you are trying to muddle the water so much.

Maybe he fears he'll get nuked tonight due to being contrary when it comes to Tennes.
It's the only reason why I can imagine him wanting to reveal now.

well, unless he's a finder, I don't see how he can disprove Tennes.
(and if he is, DO NOT reveal, ffs).

sigh
well, back to writing, looks like night won't end untill DiBs is at work tomorrow..

I'm off to bed. Seems to me that Serc is desperate for us not to lynch Rashan. Even if Serc reveals something tomorrow, I still think our best bet is to lynch Rashan. Otherwise we'll go round in circles about this forever.

If he comes back inno, then we lynch Tennes fro lying with his entire reveal and that adds weight to Serc's arguments too (assuming no possession etc etc), but if Rashan comes back non-inno then that would be cool, because then we'd look at Serc too.

Are all of the bloody night actions in. Cause I don't want to have to wait till Dibs wakes up to see what happens and to get going on a Rashan lynch.

Well I am sure in my reveal and in my information. Plus if Rashan comes back innocent or something other then Ivet (unless he has became possessed during the night) I am going to ask to be modkilled. That way you guys won't have to waste a lynch on me.
