Is Stover working on anything now? I'm not picky. Need a hit of Stover somehow.
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.

He's semi active on Twitter these days, very forthright about no dollars to be had for more Caine.
Fuck.
All the fucking fuck.

He went that route for the comics and it didn't quite work out.

I didn't even think that was going to make it, but I guess someone threw a bunch of money at it at the end. Doesn't matter, the finished product (or as close to it as I saw, which I have to assume was darn near final) was really bad.
I feel like a novel/series would garner more support than a comic, though.

May it not be that all wood grows so that it can be set ablaze, and that men and women are born to kindle fires?"

It was a disaster (nay, a fucking disaster) on all points.
In the end they just stopped work and threw whatever they had together to try to reward some of the bigger contributors even a little.

Reading Blade of Tyshalle.
Slow start, not boring, just slow.
But the good stuff just got fucking going now.

Thank you for pointing me towards that disaster. After a little time with google, it looks like it was an issue with Rights. They were able to settle without a lawsuit, but it means no more Caine because Stover can't make a profit on the intellectual property, and the asshat who currently has those rights won't put more money into it.
Well Fuck, now I'm all sad.

He should write another series about Blaine (aka Lari Micheals) set in Underworld and the adventures therein.

Tiste, publishing rights. Just shows you gotta be real fucking careful of any fucking contracts you sign.

As far as I remember from when things were actually going down and I was vaguely paying attention, someone else owns the comic rights to Caine for some reason, thus blocking that particular project, not all the rights for Caine ever whatsoever. Presumably, that's between Stover and whoever his regular publisher is. He can't concentrate on writing Caine because it doesn't sell enough for him to live off, but I don't think I've ever seen him or anyone else indicate that the whole setting in all forms is caught in the same shitty no-man's-land that, say, Paul Kearney's Sea Beggars series is.
I can't carry it for you, but I can carry you.

You know, I think you're right there PG. What I was reading was about the comic, but I think I incorrectly applied it to his whole universe.

Why the hell are these books such a pain to get hold of in non-ebook format? I got 1&3 as presents from someone who really struggled to find them and I'm having to import 2&4 from the US in order to get a decent quality second at a half reasonable price. There's certainly no money in it if people can't buy them...
Anyone know if Raithe of the Boedecken is still slated for 2017 like Wikipedia claims?

No confirmations anywhere. Seems to amount to a mention by Stover and sporadic internet references by others.
Dammit.

Whu? Huh. And nothing else about it online other than the Wikipedia page (apparently updated by a non-registered user) and a Reddit thread wondering what's going on. Weird. Wiki also claims he published "Gallows Law" under the pseudonym Raymond Story back in 2015, but once again Google can't find a thing. Weirder still is that Wiki's 2016 Sci-Fi page claims the Raithe book was published last year...
I'ma basically call "B.S." until something more official is announced.
