have to say the single palyer in gow2 is brilliant but they are two very very different experiences. fallout is much more methodical and open ended obviously and id otn think they fall under the same bracket. both are immensely enjoyable in their own way.

have played soem multiplayer gears now and have to say i dont like it. No where near as balanced as the first, the weapons powering is completely random and the power weapons too abundant. maybe it will grow on me, but i doubt it. horde mode is awesome though.

I agree with Dibs. Two completely different games.

You all know what I think of Fallout, so I'll drop some knowledge on GoW:

First of: Its awesome. Fucking Awesome. But in the same way The first was really, there is not anything noticeably different that I can see. I have almost finished the single player and have not got into one chainsaw fight ... So thats lame.

So yeah... I haven't played Multiplayer yet, As I'm waiting for you fags. ;)

word, I'm getting my copy tonight, the mail decided to take forever. I guess it is unreasonable to ship a package 20 miles in 2 days... so tonight.

Sadly, my time is somewhat constrained due to college going-ons like papers and exams, so not as much free time to play. So for the *official* gameday I was thinking of I think it would be best to aim for weekend before Thanksgiving. Thoughts?

I'm probably picking it up when I get out of class in a bit, I'll be on for a bit this afternoon but I have a beer tasting to go to tonight so my time is limited today.

So last night I was walking downtown for some pizza at like 1am with some friends of mine,
and someone said, "I'm so hungry I could eat a whole pizza."

I said, "I bet I could eat 100 pizzas," and no one understood me. I was sad.

Silencer, is that GT accurate? I tried adding you but it says the GT doesn't exist/ can't be found.

XD

It may or may not have a space or an underscore...

>.>
<.<

I haven't been on in ages...can you do a search for an e-mail? I can't remember. If you can, use my gaming e-mail;
assassin_006@hotmail.com

(That's also my MSN...)

Oh, and I know that Fallout and GoW are two completely different games, and that it's hard to compare them reasonably, but which do you think you would spend more time with, would be a nice way to put it.

EDIT: Yeah, it's got a space. My bad.
Silencer 006

(And no, I don't have a thing for 006. It just so happens that I got this e-mail and account in 2006, and all the normal ones were taken. It was a knee-jerk reaction to add 006.)

Doube EDIT: I've added all of you to my friends list. Isn't Xbox.com wonderful? I don't even need to turn my Xbox on to add you guys...
Then again, you all make me feel week with my paltry gamerscore of 5K. You guys obviously don't have good computers! :no

hey now you're just trying to cause Trouble.... I'm just going to take that as your jelous of my mad points heh.

I finally got the game in the mail, and I'm loving it. I jumped on co-op campaign at first but my bud was terrible so then we hit up horde mode and rocked the first 30 waves before I had to get back to this studying stuff.

Yea some of my friends are up at 80k and I have played with a few over 100k, but either way we still rule the forum in terms of score.

As for L4D, I really want to download the demo, but if I do I know that I will end up buying the game and I need to spent time with all the games I still need to play.
I have to finish Gears 2, Fallout 3, and begin Fable 2, Endwar, and Star War: TFU. My time is totally taken, in a mostly good way hehe.

Sorry for the double post, but I'l be poping the game in tonight when I get out of work (4 hours from now) if anyone is going to be on.

It'll be my first time with the game so don't expect much from me for the first couple hours.

Yea same as Silencer, I got my exam Thursday morning and I need to work on that. I am hoping I can resist Gears for a day so I can just work tomorrow but we'll see.

Also I do enjoy my games, my GS is high because I play most of them multiple times. Usually the RPGs and FPS (which basically means all my games lol, got to love the shooter box). I replay them because I like playing good/evil on RPG, and for FPS I play through with friends and family. My dad has already told me that we have to beat Gears over Thanksgiving break hehe

Meh, I didn't even end up playing. Caught up on Heroes and called it a night. Might try and get some afternoon time in tomorrow since I've got the day off.

I briefly played on multiplayer today and have a few thoughts, 1) Chainsaw is way easier to use in this one making it a weapon of choice for all the noobs, and frustrating for the vets. 2) Smoke grenades that now knock you down isn't great, they are over used and it is the perfect 1-2 combo, stun them and then rush with chainsaw. 3) The Flamerthrower is beast (in a good way, the other 2 are kind of negative comments).

Other than those issues and a few others, I am finding this to be quite fun and somewhat different from the first. The levels are well designed and the new game types are cool.

Yo DIBs, what band is your mate in? Are they well known over here in the US?
