"Here is light. You will say that it is not a living entity, but you miss the point that it is more, not less. Without occupying space, it fills the universe. It nourishes everything, yet itself feeds upon destruction. We claim to control it, but does it not perhaps cultivate us as a source of food? May it not be that all wood grows so that it can be set ablaze, and that men and women are born to kindle fires?"

Got really repetitive after a while. It got to a stage where I could kill things fast enough easily that the sailor combo healed any damage I lost easily. I don't think I fell below 1500 health once after my health was maxxed at any stage, and there was almost always a couple of healths around. Even then, I didn't really need to heal often, since I could just destroy whatever had hurt me, and be healed.
I think the times where I took most damage were just when I accidentally went into mid-air above 3 or 4 of the larger ships.

Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

I've played a different version of this game where you have to blow airships out of the sky with canons. There the only way to get past the first epic battle ship was to load up on armor and do what ever you can to slow it down.
I think something like this also applies to the epic boss here. Get your armor up to max in the skills section. Then try to save as much mana as possible for the last battle. I think the boss needs to be allowed to run through at least two times. That means a reserve of around 6000-7000 mana, that's a hell of a lot of mana. The best way to reach that goal is probably to use a lot of points in cheap gems and ekstra mana per kill.
Right now I'm trying to get a perfect score in the first missions to earn more skill points I can use in the epic battle.
Still haven't succeeded.<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
OK, got it! The trick is the gems have to be different than the color of the creeps. Plus the more you upgrade your mana pool (top left) the faster you get mana. Hold out for the bigger gems rather than buying the small ones and combining because it costs less to buy them.
Then once you get that down spend all your points on big gem bombs and that gets you through most of the middle till the 3rd epic level. Don't try to beat the hidden levels till your around level 30 or 40, because the higher skills (especially start with advanced gems) are totally necessary.
Imaginary rep for this game!

This game is so many differrent kinds of awesome. just clocked the 1st epic battle on my laptop...screen print to follow

I finally got it when I lowered the cost of the gems and bought the pentagon (level 4, i think gems) for only 900 or so mana. It was simple after that, I did not get a high score however, prolly coulda, but I just wanted to get through the bastid.
Top game, much time spent on it so far.

I got angry at Gemcraft when I couldn't get past the first boss no matter how I planned or upgraded.
I enjoyed its predecessor, where you were controlling an anti-air craft canon though.

I see a blank white area where the game should be. And yes, Flash is updated.
Till shade is gone, till water is gone, into the Shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath,
to spit in Sightblinders eye on the last day.
May you shelter in the palm of the Creator"s hand, and may the last embrace of the Mother welcome you home.

Gemcraft 0 - Gem of Infinity rulez even harder. (It's the sequel, even though it's called Gemcraft 0). And I'm stuck, but I can't stop playing it! So many options!
It is perfectly monstrous the way people go about nowadays saying things against one, behind one's back, that are absolutely and entirely true.

A simple game yet a good way to waste an hour or so, annoyingly addictive.

Now all the friends that you knew in school they used to be so cool, now they just bore you.

It annoys me that there is neither a way to pause the game nor reset the stage you are on with out being sent back to the start of the game.

I got to Level 50 and submitted what should be the high score, but it hasn't gone to the top of the leader board. Took me a good hour and a half as well...

Don't look now, but I think there's something weird attached to the bottom of my posts.
