Convoying can be done over any stretch of occupied sea zones, as long as all those fleets have the convoy order, and none is dislodged from its position. You can have allies convoy, as well, or convoy the army of another player.
For a perfect example, see the current move in 2.0, where a spanish army is convoyed across the entire Med (5 zones) to Syria.

As for possession of sweden: you only take a territory with a supply zone when you occupy it with one of your units during the Fall season of a year. Once occupied, its yours until someone else occupies (and holds it, of course) it during a fall season, again.

Right, osric has been online today and hasn't bothered to send in retreats, so his 3 units forced to retreat just disband, and builds go in as normal. Messes up the game a bit, but constantly extending deadlines is just going to get annoying.

If you don't think your going to be able to make deadlines, say and we'll find a replacement.
