Ever had that situation where you're talking to someone and it gets onto one of those subjects that you shouldn't really talk about with people you don't know too well in case you find out they hold terrible views? Just had that! A chap at work who have to work with a lot and I thought was really nice not only turns out to be racist but seemed to think I am too!!!!!

I was telling him how nice the area I live in is and that it's very well off - as an off hand way to describe how well off it was, I said "it's basically full of rich white people". Can. Of. Worms.

I once mentioned to someone I had just met that I love race-jokes. Forgot to mention that it didn't mean that I was an actual rasist. Spent the next few hours laughing in very uncomfortable politeness. It's weirdest how a joke can get decidedly unfunny just by changing the intent behind telling it.

Software malfunctions (due to server locations), I'm one half of the application-help desk. Notify the other half, she sends me a mail back: "I don't think I need to know about this. Good luck!"
And that after asking my manager and me to have a formal chat a couple of weeks ago in which she expressed her opinion that I didn't keep her up to date on issues like these.

Our sunshine has been replaced by a monsoon.

We got two summers this year ( two weeks of sun) so that means that next year Scotland will probably get a year long winter.

Wasn't this planet supposed to be heating up sometime soon?

Mrs. QT and her sister went to a concert last night. I watched TV and around 10:30PM I decided to go to bed. So I did this. Hooked my cell phone up to the charger, and slept.

Woke this morning. No Mrs. QT in the bed beside me. The light I left on for her is still on. And my phone has 8 missed calls. My voicemail is full.

Sigh.

So both my gf AND her sister forgot their keys at the condo and were locked out. They phoned the home phone (which was in the other room), and my cell (he ringtone is quiet) and I did not wake up. The dog even barked when they knocked on the door to attempt to rouse me from my slumber (around an hour after I went to bed)...no avail. They slept at their parents house uptown, and my gf came home this morning at 7AM.

And somehow...even though it was not ME that forgot MY keys...and all I did was go to bed cause I was tired....somehow...

IT'S MY FAULT.

?!?!?

What?

Okay, well according to Mrs. QT it's her sisters fault first and my fault second (notice she doesn't blame herself one bit for forgetting HER keys...LOL) because...and she said I quote "What if it had been an emergency? You'd have slept right through it."

Man, I cannot win.

Day from hell.
Woke up with a bad neck cramp from the hotel bed. Choked on my croissant. Found out a friend died. Lost my dog.

@QT I'd say it was her and her sister's fault. Though I myself would have ensured my mobile was near by with an adequate ringtone just in case something went wrong or there was an emergency. If I was Mrs QT I'd be pissed at you because what if there had been an emergency? But I wouldn't blame you for my own forgetfulness.

Antibiotics don't seemed to have helped, symptoms worse than ever. I feel like amputating afflicted body part...would make life pretty boring, and Mr Awesome quite sad, so probably won't do it...most likely.

I'll give the afflicted body part a month to get its fucking act together. if it doesn't. KILL IT WITH FIRE!

Also, city I live in has been struck with Bieber-fever...hard! Almost 50 screaming teenage girls injured, 14 sent to the hospital...wtf?

Also also, Mr Awesome has more of a past than I do, and it keeps popping up to say hi...having a bit of trouble dealing with it all. And there's A LOT of it...ugh

me being nosier and more curious than a pack of rabid cats does not help

I haven't slept for more than two hours at once for the fifth night now. Also, I can't even breathe indoors, never mind going outside for more than five minutes. Also, I've got part of an assignment that was due yesterday still to do. And also, the allergy meds don't do anything beside making me sleepy, while I cannot sleep because, well, I keep waking up thinking I'm suffocating. Which means I can't concentrate on anything. Not even reading. My head hurts, too. And when I blow my nose all that comes out is blood. And even if I could do anything beside feeling sorry for myself it'd be too hot to even hold a pencil.

tl;dr version:

Dear summer,
can you f*** off now, please?

Gah!
Fuck you overly expensive and unjustifiably shit public transport.
I was in a good mood this morning, despite sleeping horribly and feeling like crap on and off.
Got some friends coming round tonight to start getting our Fantasy Craft game ready to play, which I am thoroughly looking forward too. Was also going to be meeting Shiara for lunch, and I always look forward to seeing her.

Instead because of public transport fuck ups I couldn't make it to lunch, which put me in a crappy mood and then there were more screw ups on the way home. Took me about an hour to get home. It's usually a 25 minute trip. And I was in such a foul mood about it I couldn't bring myself to read my book, so I had nothing to distract me.

Now I am home in a shit mood and hoping I can cheer up in time to get a bit of cleaning done before we have guests...

I react pretty bad to grass pollen - which is in its heyday right now - and to nothing else. Can you find a basement to work in or sleep in? What about air conditioning/filtering? Wash your sheets and do not sleep in a room with an open window. Experiment with allergy meds too.

Failing that, shower a ton to wash the pollen away and bear it out. This stuff sucks, but you and I can get through it. I got through a pretty demanding martial arts class tonight, although I was so tired from being incapable of breathing that I couldn't keep up with the others.

It's my mum's birthday today and I had organised an entire evening for it but my brother decided he'd invite his friends over tonight as well and so did my younger sister so now none of my plans are doable and it really annoys me since i made a point of telling them i'd be planning something. Annoyance.
