Just back from holiday and have had a tic hanging from just above my hipbone for about three days, my mum wouldn't let me attempt to get it out without tweezers or the tic things we use for the dogs and now I have a raised rash about the size of a 10p that is very sore and itchy. Aside from that I had a lovely time.

Drop a bit of metho on the bastard and watch it pull out like its arse was on fire.

'Course, they tend to inject a little more toxin when you do that, but you're already sitting there letting it leisurely poison you, so you might as well get it over with.

Shiara, hates ticks.

REAL MEN PRY TICKS OUT WITH A TACK

I HAD SOME SPECIALLY CUSTOM MADE FOR THAT EXACT PURPOSE AT GREAT EXPENSE BUT THEY GOT THE ORDER WRONG AND I JUST GOT A LOT OF WHITE, ORANGE AND GREEN CAPSULE-SHAPED SWEETS
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

Then it's a good thing Mott didn't do that - we'd hate for people to think she was a real man.

EXCUSES

Or is gouging an insect out of your flesh with a pointy metal thing suddenly too good for you ladyfolk now? Sexist.

(what's messing with my groove is that I have successfully replicated 85% of internet discussion)

(14% of the rest is yelling about Hitler and swearing)

(don't ask about the last percent)

(really, don't)

Do you have Lyme disease in your hemisphere? My brother had that. It progressed to a point that he was making truly terrible decisions and having stiff joints before diagnosis. I highly, highly do not recommend having that happen to you.

It has been proven beyond all reasonable doubt that the most powerful force on Wu is a bunch of messed-up Malazans with Moranth munitions.

My sister's kitten just got run over :p

We thought it was Kalam because Kokomo looks just like him. So I'm upset because Kokomo is dead, I'm upset because I thought it was Kalam and I'm really upset because my little sister is absolutely heartbroken (despite all her faults she's still my sister and she's still a kid and I don't like her being so upset. She treated that cat like it was the most important thing in the world. She even use to dress the poor thing up.)

It hasn't been the best month.

Yeah we get Lyme's disease around about, I'm keeping an eye on the rash, I actually did a project on Lyme disease at uni a few years back so I have a list of the different stages and what to look out for, the difficulty arises from a lot of the symptoms being so general that I'd just automatically put it down to CFS, I already get confused, swollen joints, flu like symptoms regularly with that.

I'm sorry to hear that Loki, I hope the next month is a better one.

Yes.

When you are going to die or how I don't know.

But you are going to die.

Food for thought.

My frickin mother is coming to visit next weekend and staying for 5 nights. FIVE NIGHTS!! Has she no compassion?? She's even bringing her vile racist stupid old bastard boyfriend. Not only will I have to put up with them and entertain them for FIVE NIGHTS, I'll be expected to pay for the frickin privilage. Planning 5 days worth of entertainment for a whinging bint and a racist git is something of a challenge. So far I've got lots of drinking (mainly so I can get through) and lots of the free entry armed forces museums in London. Even a low brow racist nationalist son-of-a-bitch might find something interesting in that ... and I'll be drunk, so I won't care!

Old friend of mine from sixth form collapsed during a half-marathon today and died. We weren't terribly close - hell, I'm not sure we even liked each other - but he was a cool dude and I'll miss him nonetheless.

I don't know. Not sure if the People's History Museum is somewhere you'd want to take him, as amazing as it is.

My Uncle is dying. Was given a week to live 5 or 6 days ago. I went over today to visit. Watching one of my cousins, who was leaving but would be back tomorrow, was heartbreaking. It's like they are saying goodbye forever, over and over again.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....
