Oh cool.
So first I go through checking up texts in a website for two months to make sure everything's at least correct... then in the next months new things are added and old changed without notifying me, and a press note is sent to a journalist that the replies that there are many dramatic linguistic error... and now I'm supposed to fix that. Again.

Seriously, fuck programmers and their arrogance.

My groove is messed by the fact that I ordered A Game of Thrones because I wanted to start reading it before it starts on TV. For some reason, I ordered it from a local bookstore a week ago and it still hasn't come in yet. If I'd ordered it from Amazon, like I normally do, it would have been cheaper and I would have had it by now.

Lesson learnt, I suppose.

I do a little light design work for a company through my position and this sales guy from the States who I was told not to let run rampant cause he thinks he has me as a full designer and I can spend all my time on his piddly little job...I was told not to let him get to me and that my contact at the Canadian part of his company was running interference for me as she said this guy will be endlessly pushy and keep making me do new designs till he gets what he wants....well my contact's father died tragically over the weekend (which sucks cause she was close with him), and now this MF sales guy from the states is hounding me and saying this is his project, we need to get moving ect. and that he needs me to make up a bunch more designs...and I feel like telling him to fuck off and that this isn't my job...but of course I can't and OUR sales person who's account this is doesn't want to run interference for me either...so I'm fucking stuck having to deal with this pushy shithead.

You could have just walked into Waterstones. We have epic stock levels of that book at the moment. Also a 3-for-2 on all his books started this week *hint*

I'm wondering why the hell I did it like this. It's the most stupid decision I've ever made. Well, actually, I only really phoned to see if they had any in stock because I was going past at the end of the week and it would have been convenient, but they kinda twisted me into ordering it before I knew what was happening.

Nope. They'll do you a discount, but the site and stores do separate offers most of the time. We're coordinated on ereaders at the moment, but that's about it. Store has 3-for-2, but site just has a few quid of each.

damn the loud mouthed trash (and the trash they make) standing under my fucking balcony, in the opening of my fucking appartment complex door. On the plus side, less than 90 days and I'll never have these thoughts again.... buying a new place to live is soo awesome.

Burn just walked in and jumped on my keyboard and I went to shoo her aay before freaking the hell out - in the last hour her left eye has gone from being normal to now being completely misted over and milky and I have no freaking idea what the hell is wrong with her and it is 3am so I can't take her to a vet! She looks blind!

There is one 24/7 vet but it's on the way to the coast. I'll take her our vet first thing in the morning but I'm freaking out because it happened so quickly, can't be a cataract or anything like that - she had surgery last week, I'm worried it's blood poisoning or something. She's so little too! I hate not being able to do anything!

There is one 24/7 vet but it's on the way to the coast. I find that with my cat, things that seem really bad are usually fairly explainable. Not sure what might cause that but I hope she's okay. It sucks not knowing though, I'm sure.

I luck out as the 24/7 Emergency vet is about a ten minute subway ride from my place and I've had to use it on two different occasions with Sakura, once for her throwing up A LOT of bile and another when she was covered in patches of dried blood (which turned out to be her scratching at various pockets of fleas she got from an outside cat that came into my apt briefly one day)...still scared the bejeezus outta me!

@QuickTidal - You named your cat 'cherry blossom' - that's adorable! :) (said with actual like and not sarcasm)

We have gone to the 24/7 vet once before with Whiskeyjack - he came inside dragging his legs before collapsing. He couldn't stand up and he had blood all over him. Turns out he had 20 bites and a massive tear on his back leg. He was also covered in sand so I think he must have walked home all the way from the golf course. I totally freaked out and took him straight there - it cost a fortune but the vet said if we hadn't brought him in when we did he probably wouldn't have made it. It was funny to see him doped up on horse tranquilisers for a week - he'd try to walk and then fall over. I once went in the bathroom to check on him and he was sitting in the corner talking to the wall :)

The vet was also a Malazan fan :p
