Spend less time on the fan forum and more time reading the actual books like an actual fan AiJ?

I had the most glorious nights sleep. All brought on by what I hoped was a long unbroken stretch reading Dust of Dreams. No, I conked out instead, damnit. I just have no staying power these days. I'm trying to finish it in time for the Manky Meetup. I think I have been reading for about a month and I'm not even half way through. I don't want another steak pie incident!

I know... Steak Pies was hard... :D

Hey, steak pies are delicious, and so appropriate!

Anyway it was amusing how we convinced you for a while that it was a fake spoiler :D

My groove is messed by the fact that on my phone interview for STA travel,  when asked for three places to go and see when in Rome, I forgot the Vatican...

Pantheon, Forum, Colesseum are all just as good. Trick question anyway, the Vatican might be inside the boundaries of Rome, but it isn't in Rome anymore than Burnley is.

Ah, but it is a place to visit when in Rome, being a Roman candle. I went for Colosseum, Aventine Hill (which has the Forum and Circus Maximus by it) and "a proper italian pizzeria" and seemed to get away with it, but still... it didn't even cross my mind which is a bit of a worry!

Besides, any customer who can't think of 3 things to see in Rome off their own back might as well stay at home and save their money for a brain transplant!

Actually, it was a rather terrible attempt at cheering Brood up! What I meant was that anyone not under interview conditions and with a trip to plan should probably be able to think of the answer themselves over a few days. I like to think that my motivational pep talks usually go better....

On a sidenote, whatever the last time i read this thread was just before STD posted about his friend dying of brain cancer.

Would like to express my belated condolences, it made me sad to hear that and I hope things are going much better for him since that post.

TAKE THAT BACK.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....
