Sketchpads on the goddamned transit. Is it really that difficult to have a trip to and from work without some crazy asshole doing something bad or weird?

Fucks sake.

Also, today is the 1 year anniversary of the passing of my cat. I still miss her.

The SO's bulldog dying of cancer shat in the bedroom, peed in the front hallways, and did diarrhea all over its back legs outside.

And tried to give me guff about the ensuing bath.

That was a fun time at 8:00 am.
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.

Lost track of time and forgot to move the cats back inside before it got too hot.

Normally I move them in before 11am but today I got to sleep in before Matador went to work so once I was up I went about things as per usual, overlooking it was later in the day. Plus I had to deal with an allergic rash Ripley acquired from somewhere so by the time I remembered the cats the temperature was already well into the 30's.

They have shade and water but still. I moved them inside and gave them all cold baths which they didn't appreciate at all and a bowl of water with ice but I think one of them may have heat stroke. Someone has down a lot of yellow running poo puddles throughout the place.

The house smells so bad that I've switched off the aircon, opened the windows, and am using pedestal fans to try and circulate air and push out the smell.

So now everyone is sweaty and uncomfortable and trying not to gag.

It's really quite comical.

Apparently, someone told my sister "Iran is full of terrorists anyway" to her face during Socials class yesterday.

I have been so incredibly pissed for the past hour that my hand is still shaking. I know they are kids and all that, but this my little sister.

Fucking idiots.

I hope your sister told them that their ignorance was showing and that they should look up the definition of 'critical thinking'.

Edit: Eek! That was supposed to be positive rep! Posted Image (Can someone please fix that up?)

She wasn't really forthcoming about the circumstances and what happened afterwards. It appears that the rest of her classmates were angered by the behavior. I'm still angry that my 15 year old sister has to deal with the consequences of Trump's bullshit. As if being a teenager isn't already shitty enough.

On the plus side, it's reassuring that the other students in the class took exception to the comment instead of agreeing with it.

Went to the Chinese New Year parade yesterday and got back to my car to find it had been broken into. My window was smashed, my door is all messed up, the roof is dented/scratched and there is glass everywhere. The totally messed up thing is that the only thing of value that they took was a dollar that had been sitting in the cup holder. My deductible is a thousand (i know, i was trying to save money) so essentially I'm screwed.

Spent two hours in a small room that had no aircon with 26 other people in 45°C heat today. It was a babyshower. Made it hard to complain when there were pregnant women around. Spent the evening enjoy a bout of heatstroke.

It's now 2:30am and it's 27°C with 74% humidity.

My body is a swampland.

Yah. It's very scary but apparently they're making better progress than predicted. Hope it all stays that way.

Have you guys noticed how Trump shakes hands? What is that all about? Here is one example:

He does this thing where he pulls/yanks the receiver's hand towards him. Is this an "exerting dominance sort of thing"? It's really weird and I find it disconcerting and certainly not presidential. Is there a body language expert among us who can shed some light?

Last night my son was dragging out his bed time good nights and it was really late. So I jumped up and said that I was going to leave. I started to walk out of his room and he said really quietly "good night daddy, see you tomorrow" I turned around and he had such a hurt look on his face. I felt so bad. I went over and gave him a big hug and kissed him good night. I felt like such an asshole and still feel like one this morning. I should have just let him talk for another 5 minutes.
How many fucking people do I have to hammer in order to get that across.
