Ugh Buffalo Hawks are flying around my house and idk why. It's a few weeks away from their normal spawn time. These big bastards are completely harmless but completely annoying flying around bumping into things or randomly landing in cup of coffee/ plate of food etc.

I've seen this movie. It ends badly.

I am assuming these are bugs and not actually short sighted and clumsy birds of prey?

Yep. They are huge mosquito bodies that just bumble around. They're harmless but yea they look like giant 2 inch mosquitos referred to as mosquito or buffalo hawks down here

Do you have to string up mosquito nets at night?

What the fuck is wrong with these people.
How the fuck is a person supposed to get past pain/addiction if they can't distract themselves?
Otherwise, best of luck to you in this endeavor.

PS. Please tell me they have a library or something on campus, because fuck them if they expect people to stare at walls for sixty days.

The problem with allowing internet connections on private devices is that it's really easy to fire that up and make a drug deal. This is bad for rehab/pain management programs.

Good luck, Gnaw. You can get through this and come out the other side better.

Aren't they supposed to have no physical contact with anybody other than the staff? I'm thinking there is no dealer smuggling drugs into a rehab facility. However, the rehab people probably know better than me what works and what doesn't, so ...

....I had to go back to that bloody villa in France

WAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH

I had this reaction too, and wondered why a villa in France was so bad. I'm sure there's a story. Macros?

It wasn't back to a villa in france to lie up and watch the world float by unfortunately.
It was back to a villa in France that Bono was building to sell to some russian billionaire type.
Architect was a complete tool who kept changing his mind and I was pulled in to get the second fix done, pretty much all tue guys who had wired it had quit and they had fucked the whole thing up, had to pull a lot of brutal shifts to get that place sorted, every third week or so Id get flown home for a long weekend, flew thursday afternoon, that usually meant working from 7 am wed morning until about 11 thursday morning to hit a certain target. Was not fun. In france they love putting services through a tiny little sub basement, lots of fun crawling through them on a sweltering hot day to figure out what the fuck the wankers had wired wrong, or not at all.

Good luck, Gnaw!

Just take the MBotF - a complete re-read (with taking notes) should just about see you through - especially if you can get DL and FoL delivered on publication days for adrenalin fix in-between.

If you are looking for projects... I still have not completed the list of all soldiers who were in the Bonehunters by the time of the battle against the shorties... :p

Hope all goes well ^_^

Built a deck for a friend who rents. I didn't charge anything for my time or on top of my guys' wages. Basically a $1200 favor. The house owner, who owns a tire store, said he'd hook me up if I ever needed anything. A year later, today, I called and asked him for that favor; I asked how much for a tire rotation, balance, and to patch a nail hole. He said he'd do it for $45. Normal price = $60. $15 fucking dollars to my $1200. And that is why I'm done doing favors.

We're currently negotiating internet connections rights.

Just ask how that deck is doing in a friendly voice?

Yo baby how's your deck? Give that deck a little smooch for me when you get home.

That's odd. I have been using it for some time now and have had no problems. I even switched phones and the app redownloaded just fine. Contact the developer. I think Poweramp is among the top 5 music apps on Google Play. They should redress this

I hope so. I've googled it and it looks like a known issue since around 2012. Which actually makes it more irritating because they really should just get their shit together at this stage.

We lost our cat tonight. She had stopped eating again, and tonight had some kind of seizure and passed away in her carrier as we rushed her to the emergency vet. It all happened in the span of about 20 minutes.

I can't believe she's not here with us anymore. I miss her already. ^_^

People who have never been owned by pets cannot quite understand the evolutionary bond between cats/dogs and humans. I have had many dogs that I've cared more for than I do for people.

That may say more about me than it does about the human condition. But that makes it no less true.
