Heck, rise of xenophobes and racists in Czech Republic is really staggering. With media supporting "beware, imigrant wave is coming and its going to hurt you and your families" sentiment its out of control. Bizzare thing is, some organizations are already declaring "when we are in power - and we will be - those who sympathise with muslims and imigrants will be judged as traitors of nation". Like, seriously...? Before, it was just few nuts on internet but now I can see people on street actually afraid of imigrants. Hell, we even dont have many immigrants here! Which is probably reason why is everybody so scared, because we are backwater state...

But, for the firt time in my life Im thinking about immigration (yeah, its paradox, isnt it?). Which isnt something easy, especially because I have dreamjob, my wife has job, maybe child coming... Im not some alarmist, but this is scary. Maybe it will pass in few months. Or maybe not and I will be looking for some job in UK...

Oh no, Czech immigrants coming here taking our jobs! Alert the media! :)

Interestingly, I feel similar things about the UK at the moment. Far right groups are springing up every where...

Argh went to see Jurassic bought my ticket and stood to wait on my friend.. He was exactly 3 minutes behind me and they sold out the person before him so I had to get a refund..

Yes. Its here and its welcome. Just not when I am grocery shopping in the street market with both hands full and no umbrella. How are you supposed to buy tomatoes if your glasses are dripping wet and you cant dry them because your handkerchiefs wet too?

Bad luck about the ticket. This is why my rule is who reaches first buys both and then gets paid later

Very happy since the promotion from private.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

Should you be building fires when you know you're going to be out of it?

My TV is on the fritz. Screen goes black while audio stays fine, turn it off and on and it's back to normal...for a while. So far it's kinda rare but seems like the kind or problem that will just get worse. It's a Philips, and apparently it's known to get a "black screen of death".

I keep a full bucket of water 10 ft from the stumps I burn and without fail put it out before bed. It's very small controlled fires and not massive bonfire size. :)

You are the equivalent of a drunk driver here. Something like 94% of them make it home ok.

But the cases in which they don't make it home are horrible enough and avoidable enough that proscribing drunk driving makes every bit of sense.

It's setting a fire, ok, but what happens if you pass out before putting it out? What happens if you spill gas on yourself and start a fire on yourself?

What happens to your kids after that?

As he said small, controlled fires, I'm going to assume there is some kind of firepit or ring of stones, in which case if you pass out the fire burns out once it runs out of fuel.

Having serious sleep problems. Having a lot of trouble falling asleep and then when I wake up ( I am a habitual early riser) I feel like I need 3 more hours, but I never have the time. I go through the entire day with a headache, burning eyes and diminshed energy levels. This is the third day in a row.

Second for me. Almost glad to hear it's not just me having problems with falling asleep. I think this irregular heartbeat I've picked up is behind it.

Me three. My schedule due to work was atrocious in the past, but due to time off and other duties taking priority, I was almost on a normal shift. The only thing was that I was a but tired in the mornings.

Went into normal work once last week, finished at 4am, and ever since I've been screwed. Got sick, got better (had one day off, and then had to go in to work, but was mostly better by the weekend) , but still feel like crap all day, hard to fall asleep, and feel tired from the second I get up. It's getting a bit hard to focus on work, which is bad because it's easy to procrastinate in this part of my job. :S

Annoying, because I was enjoying not working evenings. Now I'm screwed either way. :)

Pakistan heatwave kills 748. I thought monsoon was happening now?

Monsoons are basically 4 days of torrential rain, followed by searing heat that makes people nap during the hottest hours because nobody can do anything. Flip back and forth between the two.

This, plus the monsoon line hasn't reached Pakistan yet. It is just crossing Gujarat now.

Th eimage people have of the monsoon of continuous rain for several months is completely wrong. If that actually happened much of the country would be underwater. It usually rains a lot in late June and early July when it first hits, then stops a bit then comes again, and so on. This year I am not expecting much due to the El Nino
