Way to pay attention, numbnuts. He doesn't want a romantic relationship with her at all but hasn't been able to say it, and V-Day was something of an artificial deadline that BK has now missed. That's the problem, not some generic artificiality of Valentine's Day issue.

Also, please don't be mad I called you numbnuts, I just wanted to say it.

I woke up Monday morning with an abscess on the bridge of my nose. I went to the clinic and am on penicillin for it, but it has already ballooned to the size of a grape. With the amount of pressure it is putting on my sinuses, I am sporting the racoon look you normally get with a broken nose. I look like a cartoon version of someone who was hit on the nose with a hammer and am nearing sinus headache areas of constant pain from it. If the meds don't start working by morning I will be heading in to have it lanced.

I know, I was thinking at least a card even if it was a condolences you can't have this *points to junk* card (harder to find than you'd think) and maybe some commiserational chocolates. And hey, what if he changes his mind?

I had an abscess last year and it was agony, but I hope if you have to get it lanced that it isn't as deep as mine or you'll be wearing a dressing that gets changed every day for a good few weeks.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

Yah I was only talking to Stonny there cuz he mentioned birthdays and anniversaries, which I assume are deadlines BK will actually meet. You never know though, for as a man of the South, cowardice pumps through his veins like cholesterol from bbq ribs and fried everything else. I have no idea what he should actually do tomorrow and I don't envy his position, but your advice seems to meet standards of etiquette.

Well, on a plus, part of it ruptured by itself after I posted that (I was tempted, but I won't give descriptions). The pressure on my sinuses has dropped off a fair bit and I think I might be able to sleep tonight now, but that was one of the most disgusting things I have ever seen. Cleaning that out was not a fun way to spend an evening.

Having the facial dressing for a few weeks would not be fun. I had a half face cast once for a broken nose that needed surgery, and can see that it would be as enjoyable at best. Fingers crossed that the meds eliminate the rest of it.

Sounds like potential staph. Wash everything your face rests on with hot hot water and a little bleach if possible.

A really good friend of my family passed away this morning. I didn't find out until late this afternoon because I was in appointments all day and I had intended to return phone calls this evening. My mum got through to me in time to let me know before the evening news come on which I am very thankful for. It would have been terrible to find out about it via the news and not family.

It's a pretty sad day here.

Very sorry to hear that Loki. Always sad to lose loved ones. Condolences and hugs.

Moderately related to my post in the happy thread: same cause, different feeling.

OH MY GOD TIRED. Full days all week, plus assignments/exam prep on top of that. I've been leaving after 8 hours almost on the dot every night this week because otherwise I do too many hours or something, but tonight I had to stay and run my team because our team leader and regular #2 were both away (incidentally, so were two others of our senior staff leaving just me and one other...wtf timing...) and we had a midnight session. Twelve hour day at the end of a full working week, yay! Not to mention the horrifying levels of incompetence and stupidity displayed tonight. I'm not perfect, but if I can see that you're doing something stupid when I'm run ragged and already distracted with a million other things that shouldn't be my responsibility, you KNOW you're doing something blindingly obviously idiotic. :)

Read this out loud with a British accent and it sort of sounds like Captain Picard just finally getting fed up and going off on the crew of the Enterprise.

I can't, whichever way I try, find a particular brush (in PS) I used to use a lot last year.. I was pretty sure I saved it, but it's nowhere to be found! Damn, I hate this :) *makes moves to throw the GT against the wall* At least my physical brushes have the decency to stay where I put them :)

I think she's having a mid-life crisis. On the other hand, maybe "crazy" is just your type, going way back.

I'm pissed that my family cares that I'm awake at this hour: primarily because while they're away, I can keep whatever hours I like!

Today is so crammed with stuff...I have to go out now in the freezing ass (-23 with wind chill) weather to get a pork roast to do up on the slow cooker tomorrow, then we are driving into the next town over to check out a venue, then we are (for some reason) stopping at my gf's best friends house, then coming back to the city to go to her parents for dinner, and I probably won't get time to myself to just relax till 8PM.

Sigh.

At least tomorrow is a holiday.
