I'm pretty sick of this gods damned snow and cold (not Rodeo Ranch Alberta-style cold...but cold). I like winter and snow, but fucking enough is enough.

argh... just found out they pushed the shipment date back for my copy of crippled god until march 15th.

I won't even be in the same town when it finally comes in either so i don't think i'll get it until about 20th now.

So there's a daycare in the apartment upstairs. Been there since September.
In the last month me and the downstairs neighbours have been trying to find a solution. We went to the landlords and they said that they'd look into it, and most likely force the people upstairs to close down. This made sense because if they didn't they'd have a high rate of turnover in their downstairs apartments. These apartments not being soundproofed against 9 kids.
Anyway, I found out today that as a fully legal daycare they have contracts with their clients. Also, daycares are in short supply here and the government imposes hefty fines on contract breaking for daycares.
So, in short the renters upstairs who never told anyone they wanted to start a daycare are essentially protected by the state by the sheer monetary penalty of telling them their dicks and closing down their business. If they had told before hand we would have said no and no problems. But by doing it in a sneaky fashion they are now safe.
Now I could stay here and enjoy hearing 9 kids screaming, wailing, running, cackling or move out. I was considering it, but moving out is a pain considering I was planning on being here maybe another 2 years at the maximum and don't feel like moving so much. Now I have no choice, all the other downstairs renters are bugging out and the landlords know they won't be able to rent to anyone else after so they're thinking of letting the upstairs renters expanded the daycare.
My choices are, keep living here regardless and be literally surrounded by annoying noise machines, or move out in a few months, something I had not in the least planned for.

There's also pressure on me to move back to my hometown. Some might say that's not so bad. Just I've been where I am for a nice long while, other than work, life is pretty good. Means destroying my social life obscenely quickly, and the distance between home and here is rather much. Also, I don't want to move back in with my parents, even temporarily.

I'm rather cross about the whole thing.
