Where did you order it from? I ordered it from amazon.ca, which was my first purchase from them, and it arrived suspiciously quickly. Like two days later, which doesn't even happen with amazon.com most times.

Woke up terrified over a dream where my ex and I had a daughter and somehow I couldn't see her for a year and 1/2. Never did get back to sleep. I've got about 9 hours left in this shift... Feels bad man.

Just had to tell one of my friends that amongst the various members of our group, he's not particularly welcome. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, and the fact that the reasons for his unwelcome nature are bullshit make this even sadder.

For me, I just try to make sure I know where I stand on people and if there is some kind of "We don't like that person" or "I don't like them" vibe going, I'm usually willing to make plans to hang separately now and then.

In the not too distant past, an ex of mine decided that she didn't want anything to do with me anymore (without telling me why or when) and may be unconsciously or consciously phasing out people who remained good friends with me. I didn't think I did anything to deserve that treatment and our mutual friends for damn sure haven't, but I have held my tongue and been as gracious as I could be.

There's not much upside to giving in to anger about that stuff. It's not something that's often easily fixed with one big fight or the right words.

Hope it turns out well, Ain't. Feed the habitual offenders to the drop bears, if they don't.

Thanks for your wise counsel, phib. :thumbup: The thing is, he doesn't go to our school, he's younger than us and he only really arrived recently. Added to this his over-familiar nature and slight aggressiveness, and I can kind of see where people are coming from. I personally like him, but there are so many others who don't. And any large group activity, i.e. movies, is bound to get difficult and awkward.

I just passed on the message, because a bunch of us were going to the St Kilda Festival and Iinvited him thinking it'd be no problem. Guess it makes sense I should pass on the bad news.

I had this happen last yearish, but what was worse was it was in my fraternity. And it snowballed. Like fucking crazy. Then there was the civil (and at times, uncivil) war, and the death of the chapter and hundreds of dollars invested down the toilet.

It always sucks, but at least in my case there was one man amongst them who valued friendship over pride. He came back later to genuinely apologize for the shitfest, and he's good in my book.

Oh, and my bf got a huge bonus from his company this month, but because he owns the company he has to pay 28% tax on the amount through the company, then another 28% personally. In reality a 56% income tax..so instead of having enough money to buy our dream house, and maybe pay off some of his student loans, we don't have enough money for either.


So fuck you Norway, fuck you right IN THE FACE!!

Spent quite a bit of money on a new PC from a well respected online computer company on the 2nd of January, the payment was taken out of my bank account almost immediately. Still havent seen any sign of my new machine and every time i contact the company I get the same response that certain components have not arrived (even though I have asked them repeatedly to just replace the parts which they dont have in stock with those that they do have in stock).

I'm fully expecting a disaster when I come back from vacation... leaving my work to be done by lesser humans, a total pandemonium is sure to commence.
