It's decked out in the kind of soul-free post-modernist, bullshittery that can only be reproduced by a collection of suits who feel that pumping out pig-shit thick undergrads and attracting more of the mindless little retards is more important to Universities than actually producing anything of intellectual worth, I don't even have a pissing office, or indeed any space to call my own and they've wasted months of work and great wads of my fees on a load of Scandanavian couches and sub-Mondrian bilge.

I'm having a birthday celebration tomorrow night, and I can find barely anyone who is not working or out of town. This makes me a saaaad panda.

Anyway I'm stuck in blasted Manchester all weekend and there is nobody to go and have a drink with, or indeed to do anything with around, I've got loads of work to do for my PhD which will keep me busy, but christ, it's a bit grim when you can't rustle up a few mates for a drink or a film. Fucking snow.
