My left ear drum might be imploding from pressure shortly.

I am less than pleased.

The saga of the production continues... Flipping singers and musicians are messing with my groove... I spend ages rigging, focussing and patching lights and they look amazing (the usual lights we have in their are blooming awful!) and then in a rehearsal last night they are all "ooh, it's too bright!"

Get over it, you're on a stage, performing...

Anyway my groove. I was last on here with girl troubles. Anyway if anyone remembers i broke up with gf and then tried to get back with her turns out she found a new guy in about 3 weeks which makes my letters a bit pointless. in any case she sent me  letter saying nothing is ever going to happen again and shes now happy with her new bloke. I am now seeing this other girl but am completely an unable to get over the ex an the new girl has 'fallen for me' according to her which makes things a bit shit. Anyone who ever gave me advice on this shit before is right there are plenty of attractive girls out there who put out (hence the girl im seeing atm) but still after me getting with this new girl in front of the ex we now no longer speak and she was at a bar tonight which i (Admittedly quite pissed) was about to go to but decided against it as she was there. Yes i need some balls and the new girl is in Egypt atm which i cant go there to get my self esteem back.

In any case groove is messed up by the fact that i, like all lads, cannot get over this ex who i am still unbelievably and dangerously still in love with and its my fault it was fucked up in the first place because of my insecurity. This isnt even a case of finding another girl as that was quite easy but shes just not the same.

Ouch. Looks like the ship has sailed on that one :p if she's made it clear that she's no longer interested then you're pretty much screwed unfortunately. I tend to think it's risky getting into a new relationship while you still haven't gotten over the old one, but once you're in, you have to either make it work, or explain that you can't put enough into it and break it off. Spending all your time thinking about what might have been with your ex is not really productive in any way. Sorry! Good luck though dude, hope it works out ok for you.

Tiam, in these cases (and I speak from long and embarassing experience) sit it out and get on with everything else. If she's made the decision, then distance yourself, be civil if you see her and don't avoid her. Don't talk about her to your mates and do not under any circumstances lower yourself to telling her you want her back or miss her. If you do you will cringe for the rest of your life about what a sad, pathetic and desperate loser you made yourself look.

If you think about it logically, even if you could talk her round, who on earth wants to go out with someone they have to talk into it? That would be a car crash of a relationship.

All this is tough advice and it isn't going to not hurt, but I guarantee you I'm right for 99% of cases and in a few months you'll be so pleased that you made it look like you were unaffected by it.

Oh and delete her number, I didn't have to contend with that shit till I was 19 as I didn't have a mobile till then, but they are the bane of peoples lives, also block her, but don't defriend her on FB or whatever you kids are up to these days.

Dead right. Making it look like you're unaffected by her is the first step towards being unaffected by her... and NO DRUNK TEXTING!

I say defriend on Facebook too! Or at least eventually (unless Tiam suddenly develops a truely amazing life to brag about via Facebook) do it on the quiet when things have died down. I had a good defriending splurge the other day, it's therapeutic when you're a mean spirited hag like me!

You're one of the favoured few who got on there in the first place :p

I'm just keeping Cougar there so I can threaten him with defriending if he does anything wrong :p

I have a significant number of Facebook friends that I want to defriend but can't because I like spying on them too much.

This is the Stormy solution to Women Trouble:
Run, run away.
Distance yourself from your ex and cut down on your drinking. Drinking weakens the will, and you need to force yourself into 'relationship detox'.

What's messing with my groove is that last night was my 21st birthday, and all of my friends had finals to take and papers to write. I did go out with two of my buddies, but it was no party.

You might think its bad now, but give it a couple years, and you'll be hearing all the stories about the horrible horrible things people did on their 21st birthdays that they will regret forever. Like, for instance, getting arrested, arguing with that scary homeless guy who was rolling a joint at the bus stop, or getting so drunk you blacked out and then woke up on a friend's friend's mom's couch one hundred miles away.

Just examples, not that I'm like... reciting my life story or anything. :p

and my groove is confused. The sky just turned yellow. So either I have some nasty jaundice, or the martians are coming.

Your liver is failing so badly that the world is turning yellow? I would have thought with that kind of liver damage you would just die like a normal person.

well, obviously I'm indestructible. That, or the sunset was doing something swanky with the fog and turned everything all yellowy.

I have the song from the Iceland food Christmas adverts stuck in my head. You know, the one that Colleen Nolan and Jason Donovan sing?

Also, I hate the winter.
