Good luck tomorrow Anomander.

Messing with my groove? I'm dead tired, but can't actually fall asleep. Pretty annoying.

The first of my final exams for the term is tomorrow afternoon. I'm not expecting a stellar mark but hopefully I'll pass with no major problems. :p

Good luck!

My eyes are bleeding from too much exposure to Christmas-kitsch... and I still haven't got all the presents for the family... meaning, I'll have to take a deep breath and dive into the deperately overstressed Christmas-shopping-crowds again next week... meh... :)

The problem with people who have no vices is that generally you can be pretty sure they're going to have some pretty annoying virtues.

Sick, fat from not smoking, and teaching math today. Bleh. Sorry kids, you're not going to learn fractions today, but how about some bronchitis or pig virus from mr luxury yacht.

So,

a bunch of lights, a new lighting desk and a whole load of cables arrive yesterday and like a good nerdy techie I jump straight on the cherry picker and put them all up in the right place... Then we find out that the jumper cables so we can plug the desk into the system are very short so we can't attach them to the dimmer racks, and the cables already in are the wrong kind. This means we had to order more cables and put back the setup by the day. Luckily we repatched the lights through the old desk so I was still able to focus the rig today, but still it's annoying!
Also, the extra set, back drapes and new screens haven't arrived yet so I may have to refocus later in the week, which is just a drag!

Argh. Sick. And children are to blame, again! I think they've declared biological war on me.

Looks like we should just quarantine this thread at this point.

The teacher I'm subbing for today is trying to pull a fast one on me. If I work 4 hours or less, I get paid for a half day. Anything over 4 hours and I get paid for a whole day. I was scheduled for exactly for 4 hours today(7:45-11:45), which is a half day. Fine. Problem is the actual time spent in class is from 7:40-12:01, which is 21 minutes over 4 hours, and therefore a whole day. She's deliberately trying to cheat me out of a whole day, so she only will get deducted half of a sick day. Sorry lady. Not going to fly.

I'm sick and don't feel like dealing with this today, but it's worth it. I can't believe she's even trying this. Honestly, scheduling the sub to show up 5minutes AFTER class starts in order to scam a half sick day? Weak.

Breaking news... that's not normal: you might be sick. (Or huffing paint thinner/inhaling gas fumes.)

Tendonitis for the last 3 years is really messing with my groove. For anyone out there learning to play guitar, start slow, stretch befor you play and always warm up with scales, otherwise it might fuck your life up.......

Also went to the dentist and found out I need 4 fillings........ I hate the needle

Hi guys i have been absent for many a moon not that anyone noticed or gives a shit but still

Anyway my groove. I was last on here with girl troubles. Anyway if anyone remembers i broke up with gf and then tried to get back with her turns out she found a new guy in about 3 weeks which makes my letters a bit pointless. in any case she sent me letter saying nothing is ever going to happen again and shes now happy with her new bloke. I am now seeing this other girl but am completely an unable to get over the ex an the new girl has 'fallen for me' according to her which makes things a bit shit. Anyone who ever gave me advice on this shit before is right there are plenty of attractive girls out there who put out (hence the girl im seeing atm) but still after me getting with this new girl in front of the ex we now no longer speak and she was at a bar tonight which i (Admittedly quite pissed) was about to go to but decided against it as she was there. Yes i need some balls and the new girl is in Egypt atm which i cant go there to get my self esteem back.

In any case groove is messed up by the fact that i, like all lads, cannot get over this ex who i am still unbelievably and dangerously still in love with and its my fault it was fucked up in the first place because of my insecurity. This isnt even a case of finding another girl as that was quite easy but shes just not the same.

In anycase i havnt been on malaz or a while simply because i didnt like DOD and didnt want my views shot down by 'OMG the endingz was awesomez just likez TTH'

My groove is messed because I was partnered up with Amir in BJJ tonight. We worked a couple guard passes that require extensive stretching of the legs from the guy on bottom - think Splitsville - and constant pressure from the guy on top to fold the bottom guy up and pass. And he's 6'2'', about 220. My hips hurt and my innards have been squished to hell. Ugh.

They're never the same. Not even when you dress them up in the right wig, fiddle the lighting just right and tell them not to speak upon pain of dismissal.

Getting over break ups isn't really something that's easy . As you live your life, you'll move on and hopefully you'll work on being a better person for the next person that comes along. Perhaps this Egypt girl if anything happens there. Be honest with her if it does - rebound relationships are frequently tricky to navigate. Relax, be yourself and try not to make the same mistakes as last time. Make new ones, if you can.

Just support your reasons with what valid points you can find and let it fly. There's quite a few opinions about every book Erikson's ever written.
