Lets see, major presentation due wednesday, total work done 0, workmen are in the house for the entire week and my bedroom is being dismantled. I hurt my knee again, I think I have picked up a stomach bug. I have to move out for 4 days as all the dust being stirred up during the work will kill me if I don't

Procrastinated yesterday. Now I gotta rush to finish some work I took home in the next 4 h before it's time to go out for footy. And when I come home at night, smth else I promised I'd doe for a friend--need to do some additional research.

Being told something is urgent but you have to wait six weeks to see someone about it.

Maybe ring up every day to see if they have a cancellation - they may just give you an appointment earlier to stop the calls. It was something I was once advised to do - and it worked.

Just tried that again! No luck, was worth a shot though. It's just that in my less than positive state of mind all you can think of is the phrase ' well, if you'd got treatment earlier..'

My boss caught a bad cold/sore throat/chestbuster thing.
He's leaving early and I gotta take over a bunch of his meetings.
I don't mind that (better than endless paperwork tbh), but I feel bad for him, and also really afraid that it may be contagious. My mom has been sick all of last week, but I managed to avoid catching it, I really can't afford to slow down due to illness right now.

Soooo this past year and the current one aren't going very well for the family, especially for my mum. Her dad died last summer, and now her mother's got a pretty bad and quickly worsening case of Alzheimer's. Enough that she can't live on her own so my parents are taking her in. I've never seen them this stressed in my entire life.

Definitely get that checked out - don't wait for the next apt - ring up and ask to see them now. A lot of things can be dealt with easily if you don't let them settle in. You don't want to end up with something developing into a chronic condition.
