I've never been nervous about an interview before. Funny feeling, though not one I enjoy.

Said 'bollocks to it' and submitted anyway. Submission summary may have been somewhat more to the humorous / mildly flippant side of things on account of it being an auto reject, but maybe showing some chutzpah will count for something (probably not).

Seem to have done something to my right knee (ACL?). Only feels like a strain but no gym today because of it - had to do legs at home. Thankfully I'm 95kg or so, so a bodyweight circuit with lunges, squats and glute raises did the trick.

Make sure your palms are nice and sweaty for that initial handshake! I hate being nervous for interviews because the nerves are always worse for a job you really want/need. I try to dampen them down now by remembering a bad interview is a good sign that you wouldn't enjoy working there anyway.

I was visibly nervous, but the case they presented was something I could answer, and regularly do in my current job, so at that point I relaxed. It went really well, I hope.

A friend (that is a girl) that has been a bulwark of support in my divorce just silenced all communication and interaction for fear of getting drug in to the legal proceedings by my wife. Very wise move given how volatile my wife is acting these days. Increasingly isolated (and fellow residents at work make ok friends, but they are busy too, so not a lot of consistency there....).

But I filed the papers myself yesterday. 90 days minimum of this hell. The clock is finally ticking.

Not easy to go through man. Hope this is all done and over with in a minimum of time and you can move on with your life. Support.

Hey Gust, I mostly do a lot of lurking here, but I just want to show my support and say that I hope that you find some peace of mind soon. Moving on is not something you just suddenly do, it's a process and it's certainly not linear. You're probably going to experience ups and downs, moments of doubt and moments of clarity and motivation.

I think it was Egwene who wrote, in the "When Everything's Made to be broken..." thread, that it'll take two years and, although I'm not sure about the exact duration, I can say that it's going to take time. However, that doesn't mean your life will be nothing but horror until then and, in part, that's up to you. Someone suggested you should travel, you should get out, even if it's just for weekend. I think that's something you should consider, especially at times you're having a bad stretch.

Besides that, don't stop doing things. I don't know what your hobbies are, whether you like to hang out with friends, play board games, go to amusements parks or do triathlons, but what I do know is that when I got into a bad stretch in my life, I stopped going out with friends and doing the things I like and enjoy, always reminding myself of the more important things I should actually be doing. When my relationship ended, after being in relationships for 7 years straight, I had nothing left in my life but those "important things" that I always worried about. I wasn't able to move on until I rediscovered myself by starting to do the things I liked again. So, my advice, even if you feel you should spend every minute of every day working to get this divorce behind you, take some time to do the things you love and don't be afraid to rediscover the things you have enjoyed in the past, but you've stopped doing due to changes in your life (marriage and the like). Don't forget who you are and don't forget it's your life.

So while still dealing with my cat being ill (she's on pills, and so far it's been mostly stumble free), my wife woke me at 3AM this morning with the dog yakking (this almost always means he needs to go out/upset stomach)...so I got got dressed, bundled up, went outside to the sketchy parkette behind our condo, and let the poor little fella poop.

After coming back upstairs it took me nearly 3 hours to get back to sleep.

As a result I'm half asleep at work today...messing with my groove.

This is very true. Silver lining indeed.

Goddamit.

The biggest pain in the ass part of having a peripheral neuropathy is noticing the blood on the floor and having to figure out where the source is.

This time it was a lot of blood spread across 4 different rooms, the hallway, and the sidewalk outside (when I fed the barn cats.)

Aren't you worried that the blood will awaken the earth spirits hunger, causing them rise up and consume unsuspecting mortals?

You sound like a right Tool there, Apt. You know. Because he comes up from the ground, and uh, swords things until they go 'ouch, I'm dead!'.
