Not that nature itself was upset with what you and the Mrs were up to in that bed?

Been looking to get a new puppy as company for my dog, but waiting for the same breed/quality. Of course, just after I had to get my camera replaced, and get a lens repaired, I finally see an ad for a suitable pup. Oh yeah, and my car died as well for good measure. So for the next few weeks I'm totally broke (totally!!). By which time those pups will probably be gone, and I'll have to wait for a good while again. Such a pity.

I have a labradoodle, which is technically not a recognised breed in terms of pedigree. This is part of why I am kinda cautious with getting another. I got very lucky with the one I have which happens to be a 4th generation doodle, as has a nice coat.
The problem here in Ireland is that you either have people touting 10th generation labradoodles, and looking for 1000euro for a pup, or you get people who think that 'we have a lab, our friends have a poodle, let's cross breed them and charge 500euro a pup' The problem is that 1st generation 'doodles are a lucky dip in terms of size, appearance, type of coat, etc, and yet these people will swear blind that the pups will all grow up to be beautiful fluffy adults with totally non-shedding coats, which is total bollox.
This the size of my fella at about 9 months old.

My wife has been ill for about four days now. Looks like flu, she went to gp on Saturday and got ant b's for a chest infection but she's been awake most of the night again with a really high fever.
Going to take her in again as soon as I've got my daughter into school.

Sounds bad, man. I hope she gets well soon. Is her fever criticality off the charts high?

Unrelated: David Bowie passed away. Always sad to see great artists go, especially if they're quite young (69). I have fond memories of paying a couple of his songs live. Sad.
'When I use a word,' Humpty Dumpty said, in rather a scornful tone, 'it means just what I choose it to mean — neither more nor less.'
'The question is,' said Alice, 'whether you can make words mean so many different things.'
'The question is,' said Humpty Dumpty, 'which is to be master — that's all.'

I had a nice slice of cake yesterday.
However that was for my girlfriend's birthday, which while great was also the day before she started her 9 week placement, which is nearer than it could have been but still in the region of hours and three digits of cash to visit for the weekend, unless I get the slowest bus and the cheapest BNB. Also my mum has a chest infection and we've had to contact the transplant team in case something else goes wrong as well.

Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

Just consistently high, usual stuff is just bringing it down a small amount for an hour or so. She was burning up last night - sort of fever I'd associate with sepsis of some kind.
Anyway, we're in the hospital at the moment waiting for her to go to x-ray after they took a load of blood samples.
Fun.

Bruised ankle. Had hard time sleeping cuz of it.
We've had the light dusting layer of snow, and now I'm paranoid walking that I'll slip and either roll my ankle (again. Did it twice last Thursday, but not too serious) or re-pull my leg/groin (this happened last winter: every time I'd be outside, i'd have a small "slide", destabilizing my leg, until eventually I had to take 2 months off playing)

I have unlimited data. I got in with Att like 2 months before they stopped doing it and am grandfathered in but I still get txt telling me I've hit 5gb and I could get additional fees but I never do. I guess it's an error on their part? This post just reminded me of that annoyance
Had AT&T unlimited Data a couple years back with my old iphone. At 5 GB you'll probably see some metering of your overall speed. That's how they give you "unlimited data" but still keep people from hogging bandwidth, They also typically don't allow you to act as a Hotspot with those plans unless things changed. I used to be a heavy user but my job has been out in BFE and I don't get signal to stream like I used to and download everything 24/7
