My youngest will get the K wires out his elbow on Monday,
"We just pull them out" the consultant told me.
No local, no general.
"We just pull them out"
I know it was horendous when they took his cast off 2 weeks back, this is going to floor him.
Sounds a tad barbaric/Victorian to me.
Any of you wannabe docs feel like re-assuring me?

It shouldn't be a big deal. Usually, providing they've not been in long, they do just pull out.

Hope it all goes well. What was the deal with the plaster?

So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

It's very tempting to go back to him and tell him how Belgarion will save him from Torak.

So they're trawling fantasy book sites for heathens now.. good luck with that!

My groove is only really very slightly messed, maybe just a little, by the fact that I'm at work, and I have a training day. Which will mostly involve being stuck in a chair for hours listening to some fucktard reading his own powerpoint notes from a screen; which, after an hour or so, he will present to us on a few pieces of a4.

It was through a Murrkn friend. He said that Jeebis would save her. I said that a bank ISA would save her... but with interest.

He was very irratated and sore after a perfect first week.
Turns out he was rattling inside the cast, had opened the wound and it was infected.
That's all sorted now, and we're just waiting for it to come off.

Lesson learned. Dawn dish detergent will corrode the UV protective coating on poly lenses.

Damn good thing I had an appointment with the eye doctor tomorrow because I knew my prescription had changed.

Ah. That's crappy as usually a cast and some wires are fairly straightforward. It's unfair as in theatre we always try to leave kids without any bad memories, to avoid them coming back later and getting scared that it will be the same, when usually it's not.

If the infection is gone and the bone has healed it should be fine; I can see why it was bad before though, poor chap.

Thanks T.
He's had a time of it like.
Hopefully there'll be no problems and I'm just over worrying.

After your recent issue with the TV I'm starting to see a pattern with your tech stuff. My diagnosis is gremlins and/or a poltergeist. Since you're in Louisiana the most likely treatment is a combo of Catholicism and Voodoo's weirdest rituals.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

Southern Man's Tech Support

Step 1: Drink a jar of moonshine or fifth of bourbon
Step 2: Arm yourself, preferably with a 12 gauge shotgun and a 4 pound sledgehammer
Step 3: Adjust your device repeatedly
Step 4: When you wake up tomorrow, go buy a new router if you aren't in jail or hospital

You're welcome
HiddenOne. You son of a bitch. You slimy, skulking, low-posting scumbag. You knew it would come to this. Roundabout, maybe. Tortuous, certainly. But here we are, you and me again. I started the train on you so many many hours ago, and now I'm going to finish it. Die HO. Die. This is for last time, and this is for this game too. This is for all the people who died to your backstabbing, treacherous, "I sure don't know what's going on around here" filthy lying, deceitful ways. You son of a bitch. Whatever happens, this is justice. For me, this is justice. Vote HiddenOne Finally, I am at peace.

I just find it crazy that got added on the router name. It use to say Dlink then I could default pass Admin to log in and change it. Where the hell did A2D5 come from? This add has shut my house down. I will go get another router if I don't get any tips to get it back normal in a few days time.

Can you get tech support on your router? Usually i.e. where I live the router needs to be configured by atech guy to be compatible with the net signal. If you reset it, that means the original configuration was erased. So you need to reconfigure it. If you can do it yourself, or if you remember how it was done originally fine. Or else get tech support

That's whats pissing me off. I've reset it multiple times in the past with no trouble at all. I'm just confused how extra digits appeared out of the blue like that. Definitely messing with Groove dammit.

Second option is someone is trying to hack you.

Press reset again and again and again until stuff works again.

Called out yesterday.

Paperwork. Coming back to paperwork. Paperwork, that you made very specific notes about areas that needed to be perfect. This goes to our legal dept, u know this by now. I get paperwork with similar mistakes in areas I carefully marked and now missing pages. Neat! This is why I can't skip work. /gah

Been feeling under the weather for awhile, missed the christmas party at work, have had to take several days off from work. I go to the doctor who pokes my already sore throat with a giant q-tip and tests my CRP-levels - find nothing, probably just the flu or something nothing they can do about it. Come back two days later, new tests, turns out I have mono! Still nothing they can do about it, I just have to relax a lot, not drink any alcohol for the next 3 months at least and not over-exert myself, which wouldn't have been so bad if it wasn't for the fact that I have tickets to the first ever Tenacious D concert in Norway, which is tomorrow, and next weekend a buddy turns 30, and the weekend after that the video game magazine I work for will have their christmas party...

And because our house is in the middle of nowhere I have absolutely no reception, which means I can't get a hold of my doctor and my doctor can't get a hold of me to tell me whether or not I have increased liver values or whatever, and if my spleen is ok, or if I need to come in for more tests, or possibly go to the hospital....

I'm not happy.

Who've you been kissing, Grimmy?

Mono can be rough on social plans, yet you can get around okay by building in rest breaks or "sitting down" time, bringing a bunch of water and many vitamins. Might be a good idea to bring a folding chair or contact the venue for the Tenacious D concert for seating.

Bears, mostly...is that bad?

yeah, I can do that :p Only problem is getting to and from the train that will take me into town, or to work for that matter, 30 minute walk uphill in snow... Can't really rely on Mr Awesome to drive me, because we work totally different hours, and he'll already be in the city tomorrow for a conference... Jeezes, I'm not looking forward to that walk!
