A breed I like to refer to as 'bimbletwits'.
They're the sort who will stop right in your way, or try to come onto a staircase, in your path, as you're stepping off of it. Now, I usually move about with a backpack, a heavy gym bag and a carrier full of food. I have little to no lateral movement. And these fools honestly wonder why I wind up crashing into them?
It's just as well that my mandate is 'go through, not around'.

I wear work shoes with socks and sometimes gym trainers, but by and large if I'm wearing casual shoes I have Vans slip ons or Chucks, which are a lot more comfortable sans foot prison.

Lately I have noticed that all my socks wear out at the heel after 3-4 times of use. It's like I have razors on my feet

Are socks in the UK made from a blend of wool and broken glass, or something? Socks are supposed to be like snuggies for your feet. I wish I could walk around everywhere in ONLY socks, and skip the shoes, but certain impracticalities would arise...

Slashed my thumb wide open on the plastic vacuum packaging of a new USB drive. What do they use to make this stuff? Katana blades?

This must be why Amazon sends me seventeen fucking emails demanding 'packaging feedback' every time I order tech from them. Liability.

You answer them all with "Plastic does not closely resemble Katana, try harder?"

Bloomin' things leave me sweaty, too warm and they have little to no grip to boot. Try swinging a kettlebell in them without a grip mat under your kickers. It goes about as well as sobriety with an arachnophobe.

The missus is down with either a stomach flu or food poisoning and we've had to cancel our yearly New Years house party/gathering...while I don't really care and am happy to just take care of her, I know it upsets the heck out of her to let down our friends and to have to spend the evening in bed nursing a bad stomach.
