I'm genuinely curious as to how you dealt with each the next few times you were together.

My ex hated, hated being yelled at - to the point she'd construe things that weren't yelling as yelling and then shut down. Days gone just because of the shutdown. She also liked doing things the way she always did, so anything that set me off took a huge effort in pro-active communication to avert.


It's one reason why we didn't work well together and eventually split up. So hopefully, your situation is better than mine was.
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.

Well, we do sometimes run into some trouble over stupid little bullshit like this, but we've never been able to stay angry at each other for long, not longer than a day or maaaaybe two.
This time she also had some sort of conflict at home and seems to have come to some sort of philosophical realization. I've no idea on the details yet so I guess I'll have to come 'round and meet up this afternoon and talk about it. We'll see how that goes.

The coffee maker at work is broken. We had no coffee today and will only have what we can bring in with us tomorrow. I am dusting off the largest thermos I have because I just know there will be people who don't bring any coffee with them tomorrow, and office workers without coffee in the morning are freaking scary folks.

Went well. Turns out she got a bit shy as she thought she's bossing around too much at my place. And she got a bit ill too. So no silent treatment, just the usual more or less. In any case, flowers are always good.

Having absolutely no luck finding work and somewhere to live in London.

Then I was too lazy about re-booking into the Hostel I am at and now its booked out so I have to go to a different Hostel tomorrow which isn't in as good a location and I have to stay in a 12 bed dorm instead of the 4 bed ones I prefer.

I think I'm really far too lazy and nowhere near proactive enough for this whole move to another country to live and work thing.

Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

Hardly, I was working at a telesales job that wasn't too bad via an agency and my agency contact rang me to say the horrible manager of the telesales business couldn't even bother herself to inform me personally that she was firing me for 'inadequate performance' despite having been perfectly fucking adequate. I didn't see you firing those guys selling less than me, horrible manager person, and they had double my number of working ears!

Basically we were in a dry spell of data and numbers to call - we only called people who invited us to ring them, which was great cause cold calling sucks - and I was slightly below average at sales; my lowests wasn't the lowest but my highest wasn't the highest, unless we had fresh data and not people who had been called once in April and then not got back to til yesterday.

Fuck Telebizz. Yeah, I wrote your name, company! I don't care if you want me back later, fuck you and your terribizz! (I should copyright that)
