Cleaning a kittchen that has not been cleaned in over a month and none of that mess even belongs to me. And how come that with eight people using the kittchen I'm the only one who cleans it? I have never seen it so bad and the smell after surfacing the lower levels of the dish pile that some genius had stored in the sink makes me almost throw up. :wallbash:

Time for a house meeting about chores and responsibilities.

Also, if dishes can sit in the sink that long without being missed, you have too many dishes. Box clean ones up or throw dirty ones out.
OK, I think I got it, but just in case, can you say the whole thing over again? I wasn't really listening.

This is a VERY good point. It's one I lived by when I was on my own. I had two wine glasses, two plates, a few forks and knives....basically this way the sink never fills with more than a few dishes at a time and it FORCED me to clean them.

That would probably help a bit if there was only one kind of every dish for every person. Right now if we run out of dishes everyone just cleanes the piece they need and then puts it back on the pile after using it.

Never underestimate human capacity to avoid work.

Though I agree with McLovin on this. At the very least it will minimize the pile. Then it's just a matter of identifying who uses what. Whenever it's sat around too long you take the item in question and break it. Then you spread the broken pieces in front of the guilty person's door.
Or another variant (if you want to be less aggressive), that I used at work when dishes weren't getting done. I told everyone that I will only clean someone else's dishes ONCE. Whenever it happened I'd clean the item, pack it away from everyone else and at the end of the shift take it to the local charity shop. I didn't care who it belonged to.

You would not make a good roommate for me or a parent.

I clean my stuff up in general, but those are terrible coping strategies for those types of problems. I'd probably get fed up real quick with that and attack you instead of changing my ways out of pure orneriness.

Today's Ugh:

That cool 2012 remix Kate Bush did for RUNNING UP THAT HILL is ONLY available on iTunes as part of the London Olympic Symphony of British music compilation....which is $19.99....which I am sure has to do with the IOC or whoever is selling the disc that has forced the artists hand to do...and I also know that at some point it will be available for singular purchase (hopefully on her site), but for now this sucks monkey ass and smacks of corporate greed.

Why you ask?

Well the album is like 25 tracks or soemthing....and EVERY LIVE BAND that played are set to "album Only" purchase....while those bullshit renditions of tracks by bands not present last night (Blur, ect.) are avail for singular purchase (because nobody wants those!). Whoever did this is a shitsmack. After the 2010 Olympics in Van city, the album was totally purchasable piecemeal for the closing ceremonies...like minutes later.

You have my permission to pirate that song. If you still feel guilty about it, even after all the roadblocks they shoved in your way, then purchase a random other Kate Bush song.

I wish holidays were over already. Granted, I'd fail the semester if they were over right now, but at least I'd have a reason to not be at home.

I seem to be unable to type out my thoughts in a cohesive manner to join in on the discussion forums :wallbash: This is bothering me greatly, as I have cohesive thoughts and opinions... they just somewhow get lost between my brain and my fingers.

I wish AAA games would be released around the year not just at in the final 3/4 months of the year. I don't have time to play them all during that time, you bastards.

Also, simple things like money and sleep are lacking. Huzzah?

My girlfriend isn't on holiday from the 15th to the 29th, she's on holiday until the 1st of September. So I'm going 17 days without her while she's having fun in Greece. Not even Guild Wars 2 becoming playable on the 25th is making me feel better.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

Wow there is a huge debate this yr at my kids elem school involveing a palm vein scanner to help speed up lunch times. Alot of religious people a freaking out threating to take their kids out of this school saying that this scanner is The Mark of the Beast. Its a handprint people. Everyone gets fingerprinted at birth. Wow I dont know what to make of these people. I respect their beliefs but they seem to be taking this to a rather unnecs level saying this is the end times.

Everybody gets fingerprinted at birth? That's a new one on me.

I am pretty sure most hospitals in the US do the footprint thing to ward against baby switching and that's about it.
